I mean...Damn!

 

Wow! This is probably the sexiest I've seen her so far. The lady simply exudes sensuality. I don't use the term 'sex kitten' very often...but it definitely seems to apply here!

One of the things you'll notice about interior shots especially, is that the colors and contrast are often rather muted, and the image appears 'hazy'. Sometimes you'll see this done intentionally (for some types of magazine stock, or on film, or simply for artistic reasons); other times, it may just be the camera used (crappy cell phones, etc). It's almost like there's a thin sheet of wax paper over the top of the actual photo which is obscuring the image underneath.

Unfortunately, this tends to have the side effect of making the subject blend into the background a bit more, instead of a clear delineation between the two, so that the image appears flat, and less dynamic overall. It's all in the way our eyes like to perceive visual data...

So, one of the things I like to do (if I have time) to these is to 'HD' the shots that are worth keeping - make them appear more 3D instead of 2D so the subject 'pops' in the foreground, spreading out the histogram more, deepening and enriching the color and lighting/zonal differences, etc.

The last image is a little over-saturated, on purpose (i.e. "Hel-lo, nipples!")

Basically, you're sort of fooling the eye into viewing the image with a proper perspective, as if you were actually in the room with the subject...essentially, giving 'em more data to work with.




Did the same thing for the image of Julianne Hough in lingerie too, but this is a clearer example of the kind of visual separation I wanted to show - anyway, cheers!
