  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

All all new picture threads moderated, or just newer accounts?

    Thanks in advance.

Well thats because they are posted on my image host. It would be hipocritical of me to use a different host. Also, I emailed the owner like 3 days ago to ask about paid advertising and heard nothing. How do I go about getting my image host approved?

So you read the rules, decided to ignore them and submitted a thread with a known unapproved image host. Not the best way to make a first impression.

We are not looking to add to our current list of approved image hosts. You may PM a link of your image host to one of the Admin. Mods, and if the have the time and want to give it a look they will.

We do not permit "money per click" image hosts, so if that is what you are offering it will not get approved.

Well ignoring the forums rules is not the way to get your host approved. If you want to advertise on the forum then Cayne is the one to ask. The image hosts on the list now pay Cayne nothing, they were chosen for there reliability and the amount of time they've been around as well as other factors. If your looking to get your host on the approved list then the next time we are looking to add a host we'll keep yours in mind.

Although this from your FAQ is not encouraging."3. Is there a bandwidth limit for uploaded images?

Yes, there is a limit of 1 GB per image for guests and 2 GB per image for members. Our service is not designed to handle hosting for large (i.e.: high traffic) web sites."

We have killed many image hosts, some even ban us, for the amount of bandwidth we suck up.

Thanks for pointing that out, the script I am using, which is probably not the greatest but does provide the best features for my needs, came with a generic FAQ, and I guess I missed a few points in editing it. But I understand and appreciate the concerns.

Thanks for your time and answers, I may have missed something in the rules, and I apologize.

    Thanks,
    Jexmex
