  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

i was really impressed by how many great photographers we have on phun. bama's nature lovers thread proved this many times over. will this be as successful? who knows? i hope so. if you have your own pics of great, unusual or just buildings or structures that you personally think are amazing. post them here please.
i will try to get some good ones of my home city this weekend;)

Many of us drive by them on a daily basis - but seldom give them any thought.

    Hydro towers - from a close-up perspective.

I took this shot inside a massive building on the abandoned Bethlehem Steel property (Lackawanna, NY).

I don't know the slightest thing about steel production, so unfortunately I don't know the function of this building - but it was surely interesting.

    Thanks, Jayhoo.

My father (also a photographer) once told me, "The only difference between a good photographer and a bad one...is five more rolls of film."

I guess we'll have to update that to the digital era somehow.
