An Open Letter to Celebrity Section Posters/Viewers:

I have noticed in the past few weeks that there is an upsurge in the number of thread starters in the Celebrity Section. Martha Stewart is right: this is a good thing. Unfortunately, (yep, that almost always comes right after the good news), I have also noticed that some of our thread starters are wont to repost pictures of a celebrity. Consequently, I am (selectively) chucking the one-month exception for "egregious" reposts. It means that even if Jessica Alba’s see-through green dress pics are more than a month old, I will not allow reposts of those pics. There’s nothing more annoying than a title like “Jessica Alba’s tits --see-thrus!!! A must-see” only to see those ancient MTV pics for the gazillionth time. Or those beach candids of hers in yellow bikinis picking her ass, for that matter. Search, people!

Second, put a title to your threads. Do not just put the name--spell them correctly too--of the celebrity. Include the name of the event, or if you don't know that, then a 3 to 5 word description of the pics would be okay.

Third, this is NOT the Video Vault. So, do not post your film or vid clips here -- UNLESS, it is a 30-minute, DVD-rip quality video of Johnny Knoxville buttfucking Jessica Simpson on the hood of the General Lee, in which case I would fight the Video Vault mods to the death for the right of that vid to be posted here. And no, I will not move your vid clip to the Video Vault. I will trash them. If you want to share your celebrity vidclip, go to the Video Vault, read their rules and post them there.

Fourth, oftentimes, some of you try and post nude/sexy pics of a celebrity to grab the collars of viewers. In another context, that is okay, except that most of those nude/sexy pics have been floating around the net when Bill Clinton was president! His first term!! Therefore, I will delete them. Some of you may say: "What about the newbs? They might not have seen them before!" Well, I don't care. This forum is more than year old. I do not intend to hold every newbie's hand and guide them in the finer---tho' I must admit, purely bourgeois---points of celebrity watching. Let them search for them. Googling builds character, Confucius said. Nah, I made that up.


Fifth, ahhh, the Playboy thing. They are still banned in this forum. It doesn't take nano-science to understand why threads with nudity get the most numbers of views. But you also have to understand that for others, including me (and possibly, Kieks), just by looking at the face--or even fully clothed pictures--of, say, Kate Beckinsale, is already a moment of ecstatic epiphany. Since most of celebrity nudes come from Playboy, make sure that the pics (nudes) you post don't come from them. Inserting nudes from Playboy in a "mixed" pictures thread would warrant trashing even if the rest of the pics are not. If you want to ogle at female genitalia, go to the Babes Section or the Video Vault. If you think you are doing us a favor by posting them here, you are mistaken. We prolly saw them already before you did.

Sixth, I still don't like pictures hosted by Imagecash and some such pseudo-money-making crap. And I still don't want sigs by Darkwars. Use them and I'll ban yer ass. Period. No URL shortener like yurel.com either.

Oh, in case you missed the streetsign, this is a picture section. So I want to see celebrity pics in every thread I open. Not links (especially hotlinks), not pic URLs, not who-is-this-hot-chick, not where-is-my-post. And I strongly suggest that you post thumbnails only.

For all those members who sent and are still sending PM requesting for help, heads-up, or whatever, keep 'em coming. I may not be able to respond quickly (like most--er, some-- of you, I have to work 9 hours a day, 5 days a week) but I surely read all your PM and try to help if and when I can. If you have sent section-specific questions for the Video Vault, Babes Section, or General Section, I forward them to the other mods who frequent those sections.

For leechers and lurkers: that is alright, guys. Let me just add that if you take pictures from this forum and post them in others, may I humbly request that you credit this forum, y'know, for street cred purposes **tee-hee**. If you don’t want to, that is perfectly OK. (But a small, 8-point font size italicized "credit: Phun forum" won't hurt. Will it? Will it??)

Last but not least, to all members, who, even if they do not start threads much or don't post pics at all, but have taken the time to post replies/comments, A WHOLE LOTTA LOVIN’ AND THANKS TO Y'ALL. Those comments (good or bad) are what keep us regular posters going.
