    I think it's just a nice gesture. If you enjoy a post you should let the poster know. It only takes a second to hit the thanks button. Also, if a poster knows people like what they are posting they might post additional related content. So in the long run, the way I see it, saying thanks may actually help the pervs downloading.

    with "thanks" are we talking about posting a thanks or using the thanks button?
    I use the thanks button i im guessing thats the purpose, otherwise it would become a very long thread with just allot of "thanks dude" etc. and i dont really see the point in that.
