    in '76, there wasn't anything but the fur bikini down there - even porn chicks weren't shaving. Might be a slightly visible bulge, but representing it without pubes isn't period correct.

    The same shaved pussy is evident wearing the same white (wet) bikini in the Pilot. We can agree to disagree but the data shows what it shows.     I bought a Betamax tape in the early 80's called "Shaved" starring Erica Boyer. The title said everything. Merkins were not unusual from the 15th century in order to promote pubic hygiene and reduce lice infections.

    I see a title called "Shave tail" back in '84 starring Erica Boyer, but even in the early 80's shaved bald pussy was a rarity and more of a fetish item based on personal experience. Yes, merkins or pubic wigs have been around a long time (about 1450), but as it was stated "women would shave their pubic hair for personal hygiene and to combat pubic lice. They would then don a merkin. Also, prostitutes would wear a merkin to cover up signs of disease, such as syphilis." I doubt this is the case here or is relevant at all. I was just stating that it would be extremely rare to have a bald beaver in 1976; a trim along the sides so she's not poking out of her bikini sure, but having lived through the decade, I didn't see any evidence of the practice to call it common like it is now. Most didn't reduce to a landing strip till the late 80's or early 90's. Personal grooming has come a long way (thank God!)

    I wasn't trying to start a fight, just stating the obvious that there probably should be some hair down there for an accurate representation of the more typical grooming at the time.
