Come now pal, lets not drag this into the absurd. For people that are not actresses, or where IMDb would not form a decent foil against randoms, then sure; why not use Maxim or FHM cover shoot as the reference point.

The necessity for a "policy" like this is very clear though - stop trying to be difficult.

Simple solution.

 

Please don't use clone tools if you're going to post here - that's taking parts of the image and pasting pixels around. In my book, that's more of a fake instead of just altering the brightness, contrast, and hue/colorization which keeps the original pixels intact. By pasting you're not revealing hidden details, you're making them up. Not trying to be harsh, but too many people think good x-rays are fakes already.

If you want your Miley to look better, take what you've got, cut down the saturation a bit, and drag the hue slider more towards the red and away from the purple, or increase the yellow to help balance out the color and return it to more of a flesh tone.

I see it on the second pic, but I don't see anything from the first. Looks to be A LOT of wishful thinking going into that with the burn tool. Please don't go to the darkside like others have done in the past. I hate when people have to throw the BS flag, but that looks like a better candidate for the fakeray thread. Just too small, grainy, and LQ to hope for that much detail from almost all the girls, and all their areolas are the same size too...

 

Fair comment. The clone was a (failed) test at getting skin tones better. I posted it mainly because it didn't work. At all.

I never considered the "making things up" aspect, tbh. My bad.

 

I suggest to we just close the thread down... quality has dropped and it seems that all the experts just critic others instead of posting.

 

may i ask where all the x-ray artists now post their work? is it on another site or do some of you have your own sites? do you have your own site c-through?

Doesn't mean I still don't know what makes for a good x-ray, or how to make one. I also take offense at an artist not wanting to help police the thread and help keep the standards up; who better but someone with a keen eye and knowledge of how it's done to critique? Besides, constructive criticism, when taken as such, will only help other artists make their work and the thread better.

nope - I just don't have the time like I used to. I'd love to keep doing the quality work, but other responsibilities in life need to come first right now.

In the series edvernture linked to, there definitely seems to be some ... editing. Bits are missing in the nude images when she's riding the ball.
The ones where she's standing in front of this circle good candidates for bottom x-rays though, but the images are only 1920x1080, I'm guessing they are from a music video.
