Then you should of said something along those lines rather than act disappointed in those who have contributed in their stead.

You got that right. I just went through the whole tread and the good ones do a lot more than this recent stuff. The new guys just don't have the the artistic eye that c-through, xcaliber and the other pros have. I miss those dudes.

 

The Negative Feeedback Loop is the route to learning. Without critics, amateurs don't get better. Worst yet, they will fall so far behind that they will think they are leaders.

 

If anyone drives anyone away, it will be you two driving off our newest contributor.

Generally there are three things we can do in this situation. Not say anything and appreciate that there are those still offering content OR provide constructive criticism and advice on how contributor's can improve their work OR provide content ourselves and lead through example.

So far you two have done none of those three things, so if you all want to improve things through your feedback then by all means do so but actually say something with more substance than "the posters before them were better". Because that really doesn't help new posters at all and it just looks like complaining on your end.

But either way, let's stop all this needless babble and go back to seeing each page of this thread filled with content.

And to make this post actually worth while... to niplover22, I'd first like to say thanks for keeping this thread going each day as stagnation can kill threads. Secondly I would say that despite being new at this, your work is better than others I have seen posted here in the past. And thirdly, if you are up for improving your craft and learning new techniques to use on photo's then don't be shy in asking for advice here. Because we are always happy to help, if we are able to.

You want feedback. Here is feedback... Most of the recent stuff shows no attempt to reach the level of art set by the c-though and the other pros. Circling an area with the only goal of showing nipples is a waste when realism should b the goal. Here is my example of what can be accomplished.
