  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Album Art of the Week

    We have a SOTW, and had a WallpaperOTW, the latter of which failed. In my opinion, this is because wallpapers are moderately more difficult-- higher res photos are required, for starters.

    I'd like to do an Album Art of the Week. Basically, entries would be fake album covers, from either real or fake bands. Band names might be a bit of a challenge, since one theoretically couldn't use a band name more than once-- but hey, be creative! Themes would be chosen in the same way as SotW-- with the winner of each week choosing next week's theme.

    The art should be square and no larger than 500x500. At least, that's my opinion. If someone else thinks otherwise, feel free to say so!

    To keep things simple, timeframe will also be submit Thurs-Sun, vote Wednesday, repeat. Not sure what time voting will close. That will be flushed out if this thing actually takes off!

    Cool idea JD!

    One suggestion, sorta along the idea of theme. Someone suggest a fictitious band or artist name as well as a fictitious album title and then everyone work with that?

    Example: The Flying Turkey Waddles ~ Waiting for the Axe to Fall

    Regrettably their number has dwindled in recent months but not the quality..

    Great idea, scribe! That's a much better idea than mine-- I'm very analytical-- I think of ideas, but never know the best way to execute them. LOL.

    Atab, that's sad but true. SOTW has dwindled in size. And I still can't win one. :p

    i like this idea. maybe a good thing would be to take an existing artist and we all have to remake one of their album covers to what we think it shouldve been. the best or most creative will be the winner or something.
