Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I think it's controlled... although it can fly itself, just not go anywhere.

    at least that's how I would make it!

    This one is radio controlled.
    There is an older video of a larger quadrocopter that flew on a preprogrammed flightpath.
    This one is controlled by a modified hobby airplane controller.

    The copter is not human controlled but rather totally self-controlled, as stated in the video. The students developed the necessary control logic and software for it to perform the maneuvers shown in response to inputs from onboard sensors (accelerometers, cameras, etc.) or, in the case of the flight through the many rings based on optimizing the flight path based on a set of known waypoints.

    yeah some of the movements are way too perfect and repetitive for being human controlled.
