Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I really don't know.....I am one of four that has been given this news....the other three were told about 6 weeks ago, but on Monday the Department heads were told to make more cuts.....so, who knows.....I will make it work one way or another. They may want to "contract" me back at a lower rate of pay that will save them salary dollars and all of the fringe benefit costs. That may happen too. If it does, I would only hope to do that 2 more years then quit. I would be drawing my retirement pay immediately, so working for a bit less money would not be so bad if it give me the equivalent of what I am make now (combination of retirement and contract pay).

    I hate the contract dodge the gov jobs do. "Oh, we cant keep you, but could you come in and do y our old job 2 days a week for 25% pay?"
    But with your life and responsibilities, what can you do? All of my buddies from the district except 1 other had to periodically cave in and go contract to the district since last fall. But we got satisfaction in that the Fed came in and wiped out all the assholes that screwed us.
