    That's as high as I've gone. I push the filter radius up every now and again, I'm going up to 2.0 on this next render

    I'm not happy. I kept the exact settings on this pic (last few that I didnt even keep) that I had on the really nice glassy looking "Bella" fractal. Unfortunately, all these dont look a thing like that one did, transparency and feel wise, and it's starting to piss me off.

    it looks like a painting, i like it. If you want something you got the complete control over, i suggest you go back to cinema4D or some other 3d app.

    Fractals is just random complex numbers, if your not good with high end math, im not;)

    the math isnt a problem, it's the post processing and cleanup that's annoying me. It bugs me when i cant replicate a process because I was inattentive while achieving it the first time. I save the flame files so I can go back on most of them, but I didnt take note of the gimp work on that one.

    Turns out that fractals make excellent bumpmaps for regular artwork textures :)

    WOW, that's beautiful.

    If you duped it, then bumpmapped one, and played with the modes it could make a beautiful background for a wallpaper.
