Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     the 3d perspective wasn't quite right and i had to take some real shortcuts to get it to work, but when reduced to sig size it actually looks ok.

    just spent about 90 minutes trying to get these letters right for this suicidegirls sig. done in 3d, i was going for a solid, decorative tile kind of look to them, with some mirrored surfaces and as realistic as possible. worked as well as i'd hoped but definitely room for work on them. full size image included as well.

    yeah you tend to lose a lot of the finer details, which annoyingly are what you can spend hours refining! the only advantage is 3d often creates sharp unnatural edges, even with anti-aliasing, but when reduced to a small size, the edges soften and can look quite natural.
