I'm not bitching just have a question. I posted this clip months ago. I know reups are gonna happen most are innocent or result from poor searching. How old does a file have to be before it's ok for another user to post the same file?

 

If the file is down, then I would say anything after 2 weeks would be OK. If the OP hasn't done anything about re-upping it in that time, then it should be free game.

If the file is still active, then never.

In Models, it's customary to reference the OP when re-upping the pics, and that usually happens because it is a smaller group of regular posters, but in the SVF, which tends to be the most active forum on Phun, it's not very likely to happen because of the vast number of posters. Additionally a lot of posters in the SVF are just copy and paste posters, stealing the links and code for other forums, and they are the ones who do a lot of the reposting and lack search skills.

 

Is your link still good bro? If so, hook me up, and the post in question will be trashed.

To answer your question...as long as the original links are worthy, there's no time frame.

Salty, My link is still good, I up'd this way back in July and have no problem with someone posting it again, it's not like I was expecting more d/l's from it. My gripe is a simple search could have found my post. I search my ass off in mortal terror of reposting something before I up anything. I just think others shoud do at least a fleeting attemp to do the same. If phunsters are enjoing the new post I'm a happy camper no harm, no foul.

 

Hey, I seem to recall that the ws a directive some months ago about posting old pics in the celeb section, the first number of pages seem to be over-run with old sets of a number of female celebs. The effect is that new stuff is buried . Is it something needs to be looked at?

 

You know there's a way to get rid of the stupid tags....
I saw a forum that uses vBulletin® Version 3.8.4...and you cant add new tags unless they are from a pro-approved list..

 

Yes, a limit of 3 "old" posts per day,per celeb,per member.
