    Editing posts

    I usually use the editing tools found under the "go advanced" option. But then again, you can edit manually (cutting and pasting) or using the codes ([ QUOTE] [/QUOTE ] [url ] [/url ] ao) which I do sometimes (trying and failing and using the preview option a lot ;).)




    Organizing videos:

    I'm sure there are smarter ways of doing it, but this is how I try to organize for example the CA clips:

    I have spent some time sorting out which videos that have been posted here already. I have downloaded almost all of them (some I've missed cos the links were dead before I got to it.)

    I have collected the uploaded files in one CA folder called "posted".

    When new files are posted I will download the file if I'm not sure it has been posted already.
    I run a program called Duplicate File Finder (DFF) which will sort out if I have the file already, either in my "posted" folder or my "not posted" folder.

    I also have made thumbnails/previews of most of these clips. That makes it easier to find the files I'm looking for. Software like FrameShots let you make hundreds of previews within minutes.

    One problem is that a lot of the files that have been posted are converted/adjusted files. DFF is not smart enough to figure this out.

    The old CA files are easier to organize cos the original file names are shown first in the clip (like Big 23). If I find one with changed name, I will change it back to the original name.

    But there is one thing I haven't figured out:

    Is there a smart way to make a "list" available of which files that have already been posted here?

    It was easy with the rysen files (only about 20 files). I'm not sure it makes sense to upload previews of all posted files from CA and CDD. That would be thousands of thumbnails.

    What do you think, guys?

    Any ideas?

    Well, generally the Big Chiefs at Phun don't want reposts, but if you want to collect the beach voyeur videos in one thread I'm guessing that it is OK with them.
    You might want to use a lot of the videos posted here already. If you upload the files yourself, there is no reason to ask the original poster for permission (In most instances they don't have copyright ;) ). You can just "give credit" or "thanks" in your posts. But if you are going to use links to other posters uploads/files, it is always nice to ask.

    Good luck with your new thread, Kundenfang. I will come visit frequently. :icon14:

    lompe, many thanks to you for taking the time to post some of the CA clips from 2008. A few of the clips were new to me.

    Opeia, a big thanks to you as well, although some of those have been posted previously. I think I might have posted a few of those myself. From the many 'thank you's' in response to your post, I guess a lot of the new members did not catch them the first time around.

    I hope to post some clips within the next few days.
