    I used what you posted so it looks short.
    First I'd recommend a nice border.
    Second, it looked as if you used a soft brush and free handed to erase the right of the sig.
    So what I recommend is... (pics below)

    *right click on the lasso tool and select the polygonal tool
    *At the top put the feather as about 7px feather (or what ever you want)
    make your first line the angle and position you want the "cut" to be. Make sure you place this well outside your sig, top and bottom of screen if you can. Then join up the lines around the outside of the sig.
    *Press delete. (might want to press it twice.)
    You should have a nice clean feathered line now.

    I prefer a clean line with a drop shadow personally though.

    nah when it's wallpaper size you see all the imperfections and shortcuts! that's the one thing i love about the sig dimensions, they hide a lot of 'cheap' photoshop ;)

    all the cutouts on the new one above took less than 3 minutes per image, including the hair. done quickly at full resolution, then reduced in size to work on the sig, then reduced to less than 150px tall, all the imperfections disappear.
