  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    tell me if i'm missing something, or if there's a reason it's been disallowed, but with all the problems of image hosts, why not upload a sig to your profile page, where you can have numerous picture folders/albums, then link them straight to your sig from there? that way the only way it can go down is if phun goes down. or would this cause bandwidth issues if everyone did that? i just tried and it works.

    or at the very least use that method for sig competitions to save hosts dying or sigs going missing during voting

    I wouldn't say against the rules, just not widely publicized. We also don't know what it would do to the Phun servers or Cayne's wallet.

    in that case maybe leave everything as is, don't publicize it other than these few messages, and i'm sure a few people in here will try it, just ask cayne to keep an eye on bandwidth for anything out of the ordinary. if it's a problem then rule against it. for these scientific purposes, i've changed mine to a phun server one!

    well the phun server won't take images over 97kb. which you need to watch cos it doesn't reject larger files, just resamples them to a lower resolution and removes transparencies so make sure what you upload is what you end up with
