That's brilliant GB. No need for me to try it, don't think I could top that.

 

It's not very special but is what i came up with in a couple of minutes.

 

You should defiantly start using borders Cold. It'd finish off your sig to a higher standard and stop it bleeding into the forum blue.

 

I'm using PS for about 3 weeks so i'm still learning and tips are always welcome. Maybe it sounds like i'm a noob but can you (or someone else) tell me how i can create a border?

 

There's many ways, but I find the easiest is to use your selection tool, select the entire image area (450x150), right click, go to "stroke", make it 1px on the inside, whatever color you want.

And you have yourself a minimal border to finish those sigs off with!

 

I do it two ways.

For my new this cinema type borders I just go to the top layer or create a new layer and draw them on with a square brush.

Another way is to merge visible, double click the padlock on the layers thumbnail and click OK, Edit, Stroke. The colour and size is up to you.

 

I find making the stroke in a separate layer allows for more options, that way you can use filters & effects on the stroke alone, as well as layer numerous strokes.

 

I didn't realise you could stroke on an empty layer. I'll defiantly try it because it seems much simpler than my way.

Guys, I would much love me a sig. Nothing fancy just a plain ol image of this jpeg. If possible I would like it the size of the image (if it meets file size rules) not the clickable thumb. I played around with the edit signature on my CP but could only get the thumbnail to work and couldn't get it to center. I have a new copy of Photoshop however at this point I'm like a monkey with a Rubik's cube when using it. I appericate any help with this sig you could offer.

 

Anyone wanna give me something to do?

I've been scanning through this thread and other and have seen some amazing work. I was wondering if somebody could have a crack at some pics I have. I'm looking for a horizontal sig...preferably something artsy. all credit will go to the maker in the sig of course. You can use any of these pics or try a sig with all three. Use your imaginations!!
