Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Although I use the cloning tool in Aldus Photostyler, the clone stamp tool in Pshop works much the same.

I open a second duplicate window of the original photo and convert it to B&W (make sure its in RGB mode). Then I anchor the clone tool on the top-right pixel of the B&W pic and begin cloning to the same corresponding top-right pixel in the original (color) image - carefully leaving the original colored areas I want.

I suck at step-by-step tutorials, heh. Feel free to ask additional questions if the above is difficult to follow/understand.

    Ok.....Hopefully this helps...........Step by step.........And a bit easier...
........Make a duplicate layer.....(Layer duplicate layer.....ok)........... Now on the very top of your window Click on image (image, adjustments, Hue Saturation), Take the saturation down to zero............(I usually change the lightness a bit too) Now click on the very top of your window again Select...... Layer and.........Choose add layer mask.......HIDE all....
Next.........Make sure the layer mask is selected........(you can tell cuz it will have an outline around it in your layers window, Or just click on the mask box (it should be pure black at this point) in the layers menu to be sure you are working on the mask)....Select the brush tool and........Change your paint brush to white...........Now you will be able to paint in black and white.............Change the opacitity of your brush to a really low level along edges....and paint over them several times.......to make things flow better........

Here's one I made using screencaps.
9 jpg's (001 to 009) to make it easy to follow.
Instead of messing with saturation I use an adjustment layer (Black&White).
Not shure if the Black&White adjustment layer is available in CS2 but this is done in CS3 so it's for CS3 and CS4.

Just the basics covered here but maybe I'll post an update on some more advanced stuff in using the Black&White Adjustment Layer (using eyedropper and pre-filters to render selective color without brushing everything).

For those who didn't knew this already ... enjoy ;)
