    Generally your warez sites/forums.
For example if I wanted Color Efex, I'd Google: color efex + warez

Nik Software (Nikon) and onOne Software are 2 of the leading professional filters/plugin developpers for digital images. Not shure if they work on other than PS though.
Then again, I don't think it's too hard nowadays to find a copy of PS CS3.

    ;)

I use the above, but you could just Google Photoshop Tutorials and find lots of different ones.

I've been watching and reading all tutorial websites in regards with cs3, but I could not find anything about putting images/ pictures together like putting a person in a different picture (like cropping).

Any help would be great. ty.

Sounds like you need a basic tutorial on layers (placing photos with other photos in the same frame). Cropping is cutting a photo to a different size. Here is a tutorial on layers.

do any of you have a tut for warping or bending text properly? i can only seem to arc from the middle and end up having to break the text up into 4 or 5 pieces just to get it to go around the shape of a woman or another curvy object.
i'd like to be able to guide the whole text in any direction i want. is that possible?
    cs3 by the way.

For warping (Edit/transform/warp) you'll need to rasterize your text-layer first.
In your layers palette just right click on the text layer and select "rasterize" (the text icon will change into a brush icon).
Then, in the task bar, click edit/transform/warp.
The layer will show a grid; click left with mouse and hold and move the mouse point to displace.
After the warping you can still apply different styles (fx) like bevel and emboss and others.

On the side: recently I've been wrongfully accused in the sigs thread of merely coping tuts and lacking originality.
Well that's not true; I've only read a few tuts but ...
I did take the effort to read up on some good PS manuals concerning layers, tools and other.
I can recommend it to everyone who really wants to do some serious stuff in PS. It goes way further than tuts and gives a real in depth understanding of how PS works.

So try to understand PS first before wandering off to tuts. ;)

I photo-copied some from a friend 'cause I don't like to read them from screen but I'm sure there are some pdf.files around the net.
Search for "Every tool explained" and "CS3 Layers Bible"; 2 very interesting manuals that give in depth understanding on PS.

That's the best way to approach it IMO.
No tut is a statute and some I've read with interest but it didn't stop me from just clicking at random and experimenting in PS.
I fooled around for months in PS and discovered some neat stuff but at one point I really wanted to know what I was doing and understand how certain "things" work.

Now that I have some basic knowledge on PS it really helps 'cause when I'm aiming for a certain result/outcome I got a pretty good preset idea of how to go at it.

In time I might get back to them; I was just tired of some negative/false comments the past month or so, so didn't feel like posting anymore.
I am doing some edit/collage stuff in the "Original" thread though; nicer atmosphere over there. ;)
