I think if anyone is posting sigs outside of the allowed size then they should mark it DISPLAY ONLY, or something similar so people know its only for sig art demonstration purposes.

And in the last day there have been some absolutely excellent sigs. The best was the car (lukin i think) and sid olivia wilde one (i think it was her)

Maan, i recently got Cs2 from my boss. Only my ram is fail so i can barely use p/shop. Then Mel told me i cant get ram for my m/board.

So now i have to buy a new fucking pc ARRRRRGH!"!!!!"!!£!"

 

not sure if i posted this earlier being drunk an all, but a sig i posted earlir says 404 or something and i dunno which one it was. here it is....

 

That doesn't make much sense to me, unless it's already maxed out for that board or your O/S. What was the logic for not upgradeable? Just curious. I can only upgrade mine another 500MB before X/P quits recognizing it...

 

Chum, i am phuns resident tech dummy. When Melonabe sent me a program to find out what kind of motherboard i was using he laughed when he found out.

I dunno about maxed out of any of that stuff. I just know that my photoshop kills my pc right now.

 

Mine is an old bugger also, used to run on 512MB RAM DDR II. But I had 2 slots on the motherboard so I upgraded it to 2GB RAM (costed only about € 75).
And, there's an option in PS to define how much RAM it can use. Go to: EDIT/PREFERENCES/PERFORMANCE



You see the available RAM, the ideal range for PS and a slider bar on how much RAM you want PS to use.
You can change the memory usage; taking it down will help your PC to run smoother but PS might get slower.
You can also lower the History & Cache settings which leads to less memory needed by PS.
History means the number of steps to UNDO (Crtl Alt Z), lowering this means you can't undo as much steps anymore but really makes PS consume less memory; just means you have to save your work more often.
If it 's still too slow, try shutting down some programs in task managment like firefox, anti-virus and others.
Also, don't load too many fonts in your Windows folder 'cause that's also a reason for PC's to run slower (I keep mine below 300).
