yeah maybe a border would've worked.. I can still slap one on there if needed .
The "cartoon" effect is called topaz, it's a 3rd party photoshop filter. And I don't use gimp so I realy don't know how anything works in there.... but to be honest I don't use a lot of brushes, I use the standard round ones and a few weird looking ones for smudging, that's it.

Hey, i'm loving this thread. I was wondering if anyone was able to make a sig for me with a halo/masterchief mulitplayer battle one? I have a photo i would love for you guys to see but i guess i'm not able to post photos for some reason; it says i've reached my 5 limit already.

 

I love HALO. All of them. Can you be more specific on what you are asking. "Mulitplayer battle one"? Not sure what you mean there. If possible, lead me to the site that the pic you have found so that I have some idea.

I was thinking of something like "0_3" or "weaponless" but the one called "slayer" looks pretty good.

 

I went with these two pics. Had to enhance the colors a bit as the video killed the "pop". Let me know if this is what you had in mind. Two to chose from.

After a second-closer-look, I think I see what you are saying. I made changes and added a few gradient colors to the fonts. Check above.

 

damn, that's some sweet work. Im diggin them both. the question now is.... how do i put them into my message windows for posts? i've never had a sig like this. Do i use some sort of HTML around the URL? again, ur work.... hats off.

 

Do a save as on the image
upload to imagezap or another approved sig host
Copy the link in the line labeled Hotlink for forums
go to user CP at the top of any phun page
Edit signature
Center...unless you want it off to the side
paste, preview to make sure it looks OK and save

At least that is the way I do it
