Yes it is a filter. But it is also not part of Photoshop. Its software. Here is a little more info on it. You guys can thank bogmon for turning it on to this thread. * Topaz Denoise/EQ: Very effective image noise reduction filter based on an advanced wavelet algorithm.It can also be used to sharpen images and correct edges ringing effect. It eliminates ISO noise, film grains and other noises with little loss of details
* Topaz Clean: Another effective image noise reduction filter based on an unique feature preserving noise filtering. Together with Topaz Denoise, it provides the best image noise reduction capability found anywhere.

* Topaz Clean(YCbCr): Similar to Topaz Clean but works in YCbCr color space, this filter is especially good at denoising JPEG images and correcting color bleeding caused by color sub-sampling.

* Topaz DeJPEG: This filter optimally cleans JPEG blockiness, fringes, and other compression artifacts in JPEG images while maintains image details and clarity.

* Topaz DeJPEG2000: Suppress compression artifacts in JPEG2000 images.

* Topaz Sharpen: Sharpens and enhances edges without overshooting or noise amplification. It can also remove color bleeding and color banding to recover color edges.


In addition to image enhancement, some filters can be used to create interesting effects.

Topaz Vivacity works with Adobe Photoshop and most software that support Photoshop plug-ins. Other features include:


* 8-bit/cannel and 16-bit/channel.
* RGB and Gray image mode. Image in other color space can be processed channel by channel.

* Photoshop scripting and actions. Therefore, you can use any Topaz Vivacity filters to batch process large number of images, or create your own actions to automate your tasks.

 

I have no problem with my limelight being stolen . I apreciate quality sigs, and it's sort of a compliment that people make sigs that look like mine (even though it's only the use of a certain filter). Just be creative with it!

 

F'king great Toolz. I usually keep up with photo editing filters, but never heard of this one. Your right, endless possibilities. But I think the best feature or tool that this will aid with is masking. It clearly separates the pixels into its proper RBG format making it easier to define the pixel upon removal. I thank you.........

 

from my first experiences with it, like most filters it's not universally suitable, it seems to work a lot better with certain images. certainly details such as faces work far better than plainer sections, and images with better contrast in light and colour seem to work better than flatter images. and to get the most out of it the subject needs to be a fairly prominent size in the frame, if you compare my 2 aria ones, the one of her face works so much better than the one of her whole body. but it is awesome, such a great effect

definitely. Quality and quantity of sigs is increasing by the day, great to see more and more giving it a go. I've even started checking this thread before the model/celebrity threads! Great work by all.

 

Pixnofrag is closing down in late March according to their website so if you use them I'd get ready to rehost all of your sigs .
