Here are a few more images that I took at Hamilton Pools...

This first image was taken on the walk to the falls...

This second image is a different view of the falls than I had originally posted

This image and the one that follows had me really wondering if "Mother Nature" was a woman...

I do not know guys but that looks like a large pissing rock to me...

Overall I like the d80. My previous dslr was an Olympus e10 (which I still use in the studio)...the Nikon has taken a little longer to grow accustomed to, though.

I've shot close to 300,000 shots with the d80 so far, and find it quite durable and problem-free. A few months back I picked up a Nikkor 18-200mm lens for it, which I keep on the body almost all the time now (no more lens swapping and risking dust on the sensor array).

HUGE thanks to everyone that updated over the weekend!! WOW - I must say I am as impressed with some of your skills with a camera as I am with some of the sig makers here. I'm also envious of some of your areas that you get to see with the naked eye - thanks for sharing the pics of them.

Very pretty shots of Niagra Falls. :D

Looks like a pretty cool creek there Austxsoul. :)

I wish I had the chance to go to the North Shore near Duluth, MN and see some of the leaves turning earlier this fall. Maybe next spring I'll try to go and see the trees blossom.

took a bit to get back, it aint easy being a pimp
anyways. the thing was that in real life the leaves of the foreground were vibrant and almost luminescent, and the back ground was gray and standard Indiana. the thought was, light source play. but in stead its all washed out and dim. when i was printing if i had seen this i would have thought "to much water", and stopped the press.

Hej, i think there first is a little problem with the focus. Do You use automatic focus ? Cameras often has problems with that in this kind of pics. Use the manuel instead. Second i would try a lower ISO if You have that option.

Maybe River or SilentKnight have some more ideas or tips. ;)

^^ the brand name on the camera is HP, it is 9 years old and one of the first digital cameras on the market. it is a killer single megapixel, has not focus or ISO settings available, and for the most part has been dropped as often as used, it will be replaced by Dec, i am struggling on my purchase to replace. so you are most likely correct.
