DEBATE Your Top 5 favorite nude scenes of the 21st century and why?

1. Alexandra Daddario in True Detective (2014): The immortal classic. One of the very few nude scenes that lived up to the hype. All kinds of fun speculation even before the trailer hit (once that happened, the hype went into overdrive). I think the quality of the show adds an extra layer.

2. Julianna Guill in Friday the 13th (2009): Completely naked and riding a guy for an eternity. The fact that Julianna has never discussed it just adds to the allure. My theory on why she never talks about it: Most actresses like to frame sex and nudity as necessary and/or artistic. With this sex scene, there's just no way you can spin it as anything other than what it is - and Julianna is not a Linnea Quigley type - so her staying mum makes sense.

3. Margot Robbie in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013): Need I say more?

4. Hayley Kiyoko/Tru Collins threesome in Insecure (2017): One of the raunchiest mainstream sex scenes I've ever seen. Hayley being a former Disney star turned lesbian pop singer adds another layer.

5. Lil Simmons in True Detective (2014): One of the sexiest actresses in Hollywood totally naked and riding Woody Harrelson while moaning loudly. I also love the way it's filmed: Starting on the rocking figurines and then panning over the bedroom, seeing glimpses of Lili in the mirrors - finally we get the full shot.

 

1. Sydney Sweeney in "The Voyeurs (2021)." My jaw literally dropped to the floor when I saw this movie. One of my all-time favorites.

2. Jennifer Lawrence in "No Hard Feelings (2023)." Again, when I saw this sequence, I was stunned! And it's J-Law, an A+ lister!

3. Mia Goth in "X" (2022). Some folks popped for Brittany Snow's nude debut here, but it was Mia all the way for me.

4. Ashley Greene in "The Immaculate Room (2022)." Watching this stupid little sci-fi flick and suddenly, out of nowhere, Ashley Greene shows up naked? Yes, please!

5. Tori Griffith in "Lion Girl (2023)." This weird anime adaptation is ridiculously fun, and it only gets better because the utterly gorgeous Tori has several glorious nude scenes. Other hot girls (and guys, to be fair) do as well, but none shook me as much as Tori!

 

In no particular order. May end up editing this later, but these were the top 5 that came to mind after a brief bit of thinking.

1) Scarlett Johansson in Under the Skin (2013): She'd been sexy, and she'd been teasing us with that sexy, for a decade before this. Movies where she would get close, but never quite there. Was beginning to wonder if she'd ever actually go nude and then BAM, this hit. Full frontal, long and clear shots of full body, etc. It wasn't just a little taste, it was a whole meal.

2) Maia Mitchell in No Way Out (2022): Lesser known actress, compared to others on my list, but one of my personal favorites for awhile now. She was one of those "mid 20's playing a teen" actresses before this, so this also had the surprise factor...and oh what a surprise. Multiple crazy sex scenes, including at least 1 full body (but not frontal, alas) shot. Another 0-60 acceleration of her nudity.

3) Margot Robbie in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013): Need I say more? (Yes, I clipped this straight from OP. He's right, there's nothing more that needs to be said. )

4) Ana de Armas in...anything and everything? (please don't make me choose, please don't make me choose, please don't make me choose.)

5) Anne Hathaway in Love and other Drugs (2010): Another fav of mine, and she's naked a lot in this movie. One scene in particular though when she's laying in a bed and gets up to (briefly) crawl on her hands & knees really stood out though. It's a brief but full body shot, and it's just an amazingly sexy moment...

(Honorable mention: Emma Stone in The Poor Things. Tons of nudity, but it was intentionally done in B&W or with horrible lighting and harsh filtering. Also, as much as I love Emma, this movie was just F'ing strange as hell.)

My list is light on star power and fandom. I appreciate the likes of Alexandra Daddario, Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Lawrence and some other stars and favorites, but I think think they're overrepresented even though they're great. Some of my list is from less heralded actresses that I think have the best nude scenes regardless of star power. My criteria is clear full frontal.

Some honorable mentions since I couldn't leave these few out:

Yetide Badaki in American Gods, Season 1 Episode 2 (2017): She was a real surprise when I watched the show. She had several good nude scenes but this was the best. I love her body.


Emily Browning in Sleeping Beauty (2011): Emily was and still is beautiful young woman with great skin, I like that she's barefoot too.


Gaite Jansen in Jett, Season 1 Episode 2 (2019): It's a funny scene where she talks about being horny in a grave. Her humor and those thigh boots make the scene hotter.

5. Rebecca Creskoff in Hung, Season 2 Episode 7 (2010): I love casual nudity. Rebecca walking in with an open robe and having a conversation is so gratuitous but amazing. She has another great full frontal in Season 3. I wish this show lasted 10 seasons.


4. Elena Anaya & Natasha Yarovenko in Room in Rome (2010): Up until my #1 this was the top lesbian scene. They were both completely naked the whole movie so even calling it a "scene" is underselling it.


3. Riki Lindhomme in Hell Baby (2013): Another casual nudity classic. She looks so good and then she starts rubbing oil on her tits and body. I still can't believe she agreed to do that in a really stupid movie lol.


2. Ivana Milicevic in Banshee, Season 1 Episode 4 (2013): I had to actively avoid watching this scene for a while, because I was, uh, using it so much. It's one of the great nude scenes of all time IMO. Ivana standing full frontal nude (possibly without a merkin), while soaking wet to boot. It's incredible.


1. Adele Exarchopolous & Lea Seydoux in Blue is the Warmest Color (2013): We're in a renaissaince of celeb movie nudity, but this will never be topped. It will go down as the greatest lesbian sex scene ever in a movie, I'm sure of it. Because of the allegations surrounding it, I doubt any mainstream film will go this far and this long in a sex scene. Even Poor Things, which was great, didn't even come within a mile of BitWC in terms of sexual explicitness. I also don't believe them when they say it was a fake pussy they were eating; I think it was real and they were saving face. It's the GOAT scene.

 

Great scene (I love Julianne Moore), but better than Blue is the Warmest Color? That scene was 10+ minutes of pussy eating, scissoring, 69ing, etc. It's leagues ahead of Chloe. Amanda Seyfried doesn't even show anything in the lesbian scene (she does in other parts of the movie, but oddly covers her nipples during the sex). To each their own, but it's not even close.
