Pics like this are good to normalise these people and let you remember just how much work makeup, a dress, some editing and your own perception of them does for their image.

I've seen quite a few fan pics with famous girls that I regard as stunners and when you see them normally and next to regular people the one thing I noticed is that they all have larger features than most people. Natalie Portman, Johansson and so on, actually look a bit odd next to normal people when they are bare faced.

as someone who lives in L.A. and has met hundreds of celebs/models/pro athletes... I get what you are saying...

specifically with women... many fall short of my expectations going in... some meet them and a rare few surpass them

as for Lily here... I have met her 5 times, 4 of the times she was a total knockout and one of the most beautiful I've ever seen

I agree she does not look good here, but until we know more about this movie I'd hesitate to pass judgement. Just as makeup and a hair specialist can be used to take a woman from a 7-8 to a 10, they can work magic in the reverse and take a 9 or 10 down to any level really. My best guess is her character is supposed to look disheveled and bad for a reason...

 

I think she wears quite some make-up here, as she is being filmed on set.
Also she looks like an attractive thirty something woman.
