Thanks jbreak. This should be SI's gameplan moving forward. Let's say they have 15 models a year. They can have 2 special interest models( transgendered, obese,older, etc), 2-3 celebs like Padma( there are so many 40 plus women like her, Salma, Charlize, Vergara, Longoria,etc) plus young ones like Sydney Sweeney or the ones who are atheletes' wags( Jena Sims who is in it this year, Paulina Gretzky, Ciara, even a Normani counts because she is with Dk Metcalf). You have 4 recurring models like the Hailee Clauson, Danielle Herrington types who are in it every year. The rest should be a proper model search, not like what they do now where it is celebs' gfs like Jena Sims. They should a proper Maxim Hometown hotties and get real 20 somethings over the year. Maybe even have ppl vote online.

 

I'd actually skip the model search completely. You'll just end up with a bunch of IG models who spend all their time posting bikini pics anyway.

I would add college athletes, which they seem to be doing this year. If it's only college athletes and regular SI models, that's a win.

 

That is true. I used to be subscribed to a female former college soccer player and was sad when she was rejected when she auditioned for SI. More regular chicks ftw.
