Yeah! I do! What's all that about?

 

Nope - I vigorously defend my pics as I'm not drawing in things, and the details I enhance are based on what I see and appear to be true. Am I sometimes proven wrong or am fooled by a visual artifact? Sure - but it doesn't happen often. It still certainly appears to contain what I brought out to me, and that's why I did it and would still do it if presented with a similar image.

I didn't base it on a mostly horizontal crease, but the darker triangular patch that shows up in about the right place when playing with the brightness & contrast. I don't think a simple crease explains what appears to come forth, and don't see how some odd shadow is created from a bright flash off her thighs when the pic is taken from the front. While I can't confirm with 100% certainty what you see in my final image is exactly what is beneath, I felt pretty confident about what I was seeing and bringing out.

I'd hope that all X-rayer's posting here would also exercise the same confidence about their work, not just showing what they think may be present, or are just making it up with no evidence of what lies beneath. If I don't feel confident about a pic I won't do it.

BTW - I'm not wanting to start a debate on the topic of real-.vs-fake, just stating my reasons for doing the pic. I'm glad you're a fan of body mechanics, and using image comparison to try and see if something does or doesn't add up - I often do the same thing, so keep it up!

In the Sara Evans pic, her left nipple has clearly been drawn 2 inches to the left of its actual, pokey position! This is not an x-ray but a drawing.

 

C'mon people - don't forget the name of who you're requesting and to use an approved image host instead of just linking off-site to wiki.

Answering some of the questions later in the posts, regarding how it's possible to "see" what's under. Technically, we aren't. When a section is copied and pasted over and then applying levels/brightness/contrast/dodge/burn , etc, Photoshop is enhancing and guessing and what we get is "x-ray vision." It only really works effectively on gauss or sheer fabrics. Of course, this sort of thing works best on "candid" shots, since professional photographers do their own skills at covering up what we are trying to enhance and see.

Anyhow, thanks for the idea and technique.
