    The worst part of those old days was, to keep from being harassed by isp's/corps was you had to post with "x/noarchive" Which meant you posted to the news group, BUT, the post would not be logged or saved beyond the current buffer. It wasnt a big deal then, but it means that now all those scans/posts are long lost. All that stuff from GraphicResponse, Tuna, MiB, Foxfire, Sockpuppet, and the other old scanners, even BW&Greyscale are lost forever. There was a fantastic Italian scanner that you can still find every now and again. What's even worse is if you have backups from way back, who still has a working tape drive? The pic collector hobby has changed so much over the years lol.

    I had a massive foot fetish back then and went to the mousepad. Wheeler was a scanner I remember. A couple of other guys from the netherlands. Scanning photos is like playing albums on a record player, vs digital photos and music on a phone. Both have their pros.

    It was a German version of phun in the late '90s early 2000s. Most of the European scanners hung out there

    Every once in awhile I'll come across an old scanner if I do a cursory google search on a model. There was an italian guy I can't remember his name, he was always first with the new mags, very good with joining 2 page spreads, which you know always had the middle separation, and a Dutch guy with a windmill as his sig.

    beatiloro/bledicola.it was the Italian guy I'm pretty sure, he did awesome calendar scans in (for those days) great quality.

    I've seen the windmill logo, but havent seen it while browsing thru my current files
