    So sorry to hear that about your colleague.


    Went for a walk on the Common (Park) tonight, still warm 32c & humid, this poor old tree came down overnight, nobody was hurt, but it's sad to see such a old tree gone.

    Morning, didn’t get much sleep, I think some of it was people non stop on the radio today talking about “Oh it’s so warm I couldn’t sleep etc”.

    I'm beginning to think the Edwardians (this building was build in 1905) never had Summers.

    Then I remembered the top floor (where our offices are) were the Servants bedrooms, clearly their servants didn't feel the heat. #Not

    Looks like this weekend will be a scorcher. 25 right now but it will be closer to 30 on saturday and sunday. Needless to write but still my apt has its drapes closed. A solid temp of 22 just the way i like it. :)

    Home!! its 3:25pm (sometimes it pays to go in early).
    Major thunderstorm forecast for London & the SE overnight.

    Scotland got it last night resulting in a train derailment this morning following a landslide after a deluge.
    Wise move on the drapes, my Grannie in Australia used to tell me that a old woman
    told her in the days before widespread AC, the advice was to close your curtains/drapes
    & your windows during the day and open them after sundown in the evening.

    If you haven't got surge protection & thunder is forecast, unplug your PC or laptop!

    At over 31°C outside in the shade right now it's hotter here already than it was yesterday, although the humidity must be lower because it doesn't feel as bad!
    I'm 200 miles north of Sophie, so I'm sure that her Central London outside temperature will be higher than mine! That Edwardian building is likely to be pretty solid, which is why her office temp is "relatively" low!
