Finished S2 of Hanna (Amazon Prime Video).

Spoiler: Hanna Verdict

Its a improvement on S1, but there's still a lot of scenes/dialog that would never make the final cut if
it were a US series (this is a EU production), the pace picks up in the last three episodes, if only they
had more of that earlier in the series, instead of endless girls locked up in a Country house, training
and getting to know each other scenes.

Plus one particular character who spend S2 being captured, escaping, being captured and escaping again.
There's lots of acting talent in the cast, i wish they had used it in some more inventive writing.

Esme Creed Miles, is so good, its just a shame they made Hanna so one dimensional.

If my Dad were alive today (or any England or Ireland fan of a certain age).

They'd be sad to hear the news of the death of Jack Charlton, aged 85... RIP

I agree with you on some of it, if it hadn't of been Tom Hanks would of watched it.

Probably not.

Its familiar there's very little character development, its Tom Hanks being Tom Hanks, we've seen the crew numerous times in other Submarine epics and they fit in, nothing more, nothing else.

It follows a familiar recent pattern, open with Churchill/FDR sound bites, then sit back and you're in the Atlantic with Tom.

The SFX was epic (worthy of a game which is a compliment). Sony's original deal for a cinema release fell through and Apple steeped in.

I would of loved to have seen it on the Big Screen!

 

Just so we are clear all friends of this thread. I didnt hate it, and in a period where it isnt many decent features it feels nice with a good summer blockbuster.

 

I really enjoyed The Old Guard, very Highlander-esque and of course Charlize is a badass. Great popcorn flick.
