Worried about her. I was out of commission for a few days cause my phone broke and I couldn't say anything on here again for some reason (had to adjust my AdBlock again). I come back and see she has had these problems. Nothing but love for you Sophie, come back whenever you feel up to it and I'll be here to give you a big internet

 

Spring is coming along nicely at my end. Most trees here are getting foliage. Good mix of warmth dry and wet.

He was a friend's Dad who had been there and really kind to me when I needed it.

I'll remember him for his kindness to me and love of Johnny Cash.

Worked from the garden today, it was lovely & sunny.
Actually helps to concentrate more being out here, distractions yes, but natural ones.

Its meant to be 25c for VE day on Friday.

Watched the final "Homeland", good fitting well written ending.

This song always reminds me of 'bright side of life' for several obvious reasons I guess.
Its also the out tune for the country show on the local public access radio station.

 

To go on a roadtrip through the states of america. Listening to local radio stations. I dont know but too me it sounds a bit magical.

College radio stations are one of the few last 'unfiltered' voices out there on popular media. At least when it comes to the music content.
Listening to the popular stations you would probably find they all play the same limited set of songs, depending on the genre of the station.

 

Morning, Comfort pic has arrived.

Sadly there are very few Independent Radio stations in the US, so while there are still lots of different local stations they're all owned by big media groups who has the same "Message" for each station and the music output is all playlisted from a Central computer, all music is all rotation.

So if you could listen all day, you'll hear the same music over and over. This sadly is the case too in the UK, the only exception of radio stations being local are BBC local stations.

Only exceptions, genre radio, even then they're highly playlisted.

If you had done a radio road trip of the US from the 1940s to early 1980s? You would of heard such variety, its a sad loss.

True Internet radio now offers more choice, but is only just beginning to be truly mobile, but AM/FM is a loss cause.

 

I stopped listening to radio years ago, one incident really helped that, that being I heard the same song on 4 different stations at the same time. This is another consequence of laws passed in the 80s and 90s which allowed non-stop media mergers and monopolies, this is what happens when instead of hundreds of companies being the distributors of music and other forms of news and entertainment, you have 5-6. I've been beating the drum about how bad this is for a long time, seems like finally more people are seeing the same thing as their options have vanished.
