Been busy, the sun is shining, Spring has arrived and just got this comfort pic.


Yesterday afternoon we got what is like "Our Call Up" to NHS Volunteers.

This is where someone ok's everything.

Answered a few questions, quick review of health history, temp taken.

I can't do the outside stuff (irony that was delivering food last week), I have asthma which could put me at an at-risk group.
So I'm going to be on the phones, I'll be talking to vulnerable people/senior citizens.

I start after lunch today.

I've been coping (i hope so anyway) with all this Isolation and everything.
But the first time it got to me was last night and the "Clap for the NHS".

Other things, did anyone join in the Doctor Who Worldwide fan screening last night?

No, well someone must of as we trended #1 on Twitter with our hashtag #TripOfALifetime
and we made the BBC news this morning.


The next screening is Monday at 7pm BST with the Doctor Who story "Vincent" on Van Gogh's birthday.

Richard Curtis (who wrote the episode and Love Actually) will be live-tweeting

and just confirmed we've got Karen Gillan aka Amy Pond will be Live Tweeting from LA.

Strangely enough, during the Isolation so far, we're the only fandom that has done this.

Last night was amazing in London, especially in city that's now known for mixing during normal times.

 

"Run" (which stars PWB as Flickr) has a US Release date (First episode) Apr 12th 2020.

Meanwhile

Right criminal background check is done, I'm officially an NHS Volunteer.

I start tomorrow.

This has been like the most surreal day, a month ago, even pre-Thursday life was normal/then restricted.

Now the streets have gone into 29 Days mode, apart from the fact Police drones are overhead.

But its so quite!!!! and there's no planes.

I've been on the phones since 7:30am, its seems to be partly organised by the Local Council/local charity.
I don't know if the NHS will formally take over or that the Council here needed Volunteers straight away.

I think most people wanted to hear a voice, this is all very surreal, they keep taking temps during the day.

Its like something out of a film

From 10:30am, i was packing food & essentials.

I'm about to get home (not sure how yet) to see "Underwater".

I'm back on tomorrow.

Is anyone having trouble sleeping as much as i am?

Of course I sucked at sleeping before, so not much has changed

 

Same here, sleeping good is not a specialty of mine so no change there.

 

i had severe sleeping problems earlier. I got some nice happy pills i take one of each evening it helps my hyperactive brain to relax. No more solving all the worlds problems and i fall asleep in half an hour instead of 3 earlier.

 

I watched "Underwater", Kristen was stunning, the story stands up, but it flopped
because of the 20th Century Fox sale to Disney.

But maybe not the wisest film to watch, i get claustrophobic and they're trapped
and can't escape.

But its surreal that "Underwater" was more normal than what's happening outside.

My sleep pattern is fucked and with it my concentration as the day goes on.

That's why i'm volunteering from earlies to lunchtime.

My body clock simultaneously wants me to get to bed by 8pm... and also stay up to 3am.
I should do more to create a sense of normality, but its so easy to be lazy.
