She obviously wasn't in that much of a rush to find it, considering she's still naked in bed and damn, you were so good that she doesn't remember where her shoes went? Phun bows to your skills

You don't get it, (less so now) but the number of odd shoes I've had.
You're out of the night, you're drunk, you get a taxi home, your feet
are killing you, you take your heels off, you're tired, you get there.

You pick your shoe up (thinking its a pair) and wake up in the morning
and ... you can ring the Cab office "Did you find a single high heel
in the back of one of your cabs?".

I think over a decade I've actually got two back (going to their office
going through a box of odd shoes) so there must be cabbies with quite a
collection of odd's.

I still don't know how I did it, I was really drunk, but I got on the Underground
late night (not overnight, it was before that) I took my boots off, I think
I fell asleep and then woke up just as I got to my Station.

In the morning I couldn't find my boots, phoned the lost property but never
got them back, but I must have walked home barefoot!

Claim to fame: I lost a Shoe on a night out with "All Saints".

Well, I've started my new job this morning at 7:30am.
It's working until Wednesday in a family-run Cafe, their
partner is ill (bad back not Corona) they told me in the
time period from 7:30am to 9:00am they'd usually have an average
of 30 Customers (more on Thursday's/Friday's) this morning
we had 8 Customers.

My job apart from serving at the counter is to clean the
tables after each customer, the tables usually seat 4 we're limiting
them to 2 people per table.

If you're in a queue for the counter, we're trying to say 3 metres
between each person and avoid paying by cash/coins.

It's like a scene from a disaster movie, I can't see it lasting.

Ok my days work is done, i think we had 30 customers for the whole day.
But we were busy enough to stop table service, people are obviously still
too close.

I help the Homeless on one night a week.
Usually we go out on the streets to them
but for now we're doing a kitchen (like at Christmas)
where they come to us.

We have two medical volunteers who suitably protected
will do a check on those on the street.

All this is surreal i'm having a night in after this.

Everyone is so focused on COVID19 [I love how scientists minimize Nature's inconveniences with snappy acronyms] to the extent that all of other's life's problems seem to disappear. Thank (bless, worship?) you for remaining focused on the larger picture. You rock.

I just got back from grocery shopping...
There was no Pasta/Sauce, Eggs, Meat of any kind except sausage and ribs... (there was a full section of imposter burgers tho, which made me laugh) bananas, apples, carrots, etc... besides the expected lack of soaps, sanitizers, and toilet papers.

My county has had a whopping 4 cases of Covid-19... more people are going to starve to death at this rate.

 

It’s 5:20am I’ve woken up and I’ve got nowhere to go today or any day until the end of the Summer?

Thank you, really appreciate that!

 

This is all so surreal, with me i'm fine, during the day/night/sleeping/its the waking up
first thing in the morning.
You know like when you lost someone be it a death or relationship ending, its like that.
I wake up and think things are "Normal" and then i realise and for that first hour its hard.

Its not helped by the fact my Wifie is stuck in the NE of England & i'm here in London.
The Government has discouraged unessential travel, plus she'd have to travel by train.

London is like scenes from "29 Days After", yesterday was quite, i saw a video of central
London today and its empty of people!!!

This calls for Emma Watson to perform a public duty and strip for Britain!

 

This is gonna sound so wrong but as the nice man i am i just want to give you a warm hug and say your not alone. There are good people out there that will help if you need it. If only for some comfort and offer a ear if you need to off load your worries. Sorry for the crappy choice of words. Again nothing sexual meant by it just me being sympathetic.
