Oh shit! How cool is it to be born on a leap day?!!

I'm only 1/4 as old as people think I am!

 

So agree!!! as i mentioned bad eyesight/lack of glasses is one thing, but regular eye tests also can
really predict other health issues in some cases decades before it happens.

It can help detect the early signs of multiple eye conditions such as glaucoma,
diabetic retinopathy & macular degeneration long before you have any symptoms.

Plus eye tests are not like they were decades before, (piece of card on a wall, read out the letters).
They're really 21st Century, they don't hurt and yes men in glassses are hot.

Its not a matter of going to buy over the counter/non prescription glasses.
Its the eye test!!!!

This isn't femplaining. Lol. This is reality.
I don't tell people this much, but I had a serious issue with my right eye.
I had noticed some blurry vision, etc etc. After putting it off for over 6 months, I go to an optometrist. He is like dude, the pressure in your eye is off the charts.
He sent me to an eye doctor and I found out I had glaucoma.
Long story short and 2 surgeries later, I only lost 40% of vision in that eye. He said if I had waited much longer, it would have been much worse. Once you lose that vision, it's gone for fucking ever.

So ... DON'T WAIT y'all. Have those eyes checked

My Uncle went to get a eye test, didn't wear glasses, eyesight fine.
He was told hiis pressures were way up, to cut a long story short, meds lowered it.

But you can't as such feel it when its happening and when you do...

 

Nope, just a bit blurry is all, and your other eye compensates so you really don't notice much.

Unfortunately, there are too many of us who have shitty if no healthcare coverage I make due with what I can get, I won't even mention the last time I got my teeth looked at, luckily I work someplace where I can get a discount on eye exams and I'm a bit past due for one. I always got my eyes tested as a kid due to my Dad having macular degeneration and luckily I have never shown any signs of it which at this point means it skipped me, but that doesn't mean I don't have mediocre eyesight which leads me to...

Meanwhile in New Zealand..

 

We have 13 cases here so far. Most of them are related too only two persons. We have very strict patient secrecy in Sweden so the information given on individual cases and how they are doing are very slim. But no one have died yet here as a result of Corona.

 

If anyone wants to think its a hoax, that's it overblown.

I've no worries you go right ahead and yes regular seasonable flu kills thousands every year,
and i don't think the reporting in that New Zealand newspaper helps.

In other news.

The UK Dept of Health have just announced a further 12 patients have been tested
positive for Covid-19, that's bringing a total to 35, this time last week there were 2 cases.

 

A number of the sick patients have been sent home to nurse the infection in home quarantine. They are sick but not worse than it cant be done in their own home.

 

Thank you!!! Irony that some want sequins banned because of the effect on the environment.
