Everything when it comes to that "march". Guns that in the hands of zelous security, and police get folks killed.

 

Her security is to protect from crazy ppl. It has nothing to do with the march.

Since I doubt that her security detail carries military grade assault rifles, there would be no need to give them up.

Of course not. The entire march was protected by armed guards. Btw, its weird how all these celebs waited until mass shootings happened under Trump (carried out by mentally ill democrats of course) to suddenly march for "gun control", and not after one of the dozens of mass shootings that happened under their lord and savior, Barack Obama. But then again, these are the same types of people who compared Trump to a "Hitler"-type fascist for the last two years, only to recently claim that America should institute an Australian-type gun confiscation, where the government seizes guns from civilians. That's liberal "logic" for ya.

The suggestion that the US should look to Australia's experience has been going well before Trump became President. The NRA has actually been lying and making misleading claims about Australian crime statistics for well over a decade now.

You do not want the Government to seize guns? Firstly I do not think they can and I'm curious as to your solution to the gun massacres that seem so regularly occur in your country.

Calling the President a fascist seems to be the norm in US politics today. The conservatives did the same to Obama as well as calling him a Marxist/Muslim/Atheist etc.

Claiming these mass shootings in recent years have been carried out by "mentally ill democrats" tells you this guy is definitely living in an alternate dimension. Millions other just like him too.

God, I fucking hate conservatives and liberals. Libertarians are pretty fucking annoying as well. Everyone should just blow me.

Oh i see they're child survivors when they're points that they willfully put into the public discourse get rightly scrutinized. But they're brave young adults when pushing an agenda you agree with?

But this anti-gun march wants to limit to ability of everyday Americans to protect themselves from other crazy people, say school shooters. Guns save far more lives than they take in use by civilians.

All that being said, i'm not 100% adverse to stricter gun control methods, i'd just rather see the 3 million dollars it took to arrange this virtue signalling march go towards actual policy instead.

 

We’re not innocent at all, many forms of violent crime are on the increase in the UK, especially London, including stabbings and acid attacks, so while we don’t have the gun problem the U.S. we have others. Bad people find a way to hurt people.

 

I actually agree with you in the point you make about the culture of guns in America, coming from a fellow Brit it’s confusing to me but lots of cultural cornerstones of American life are heightened and adopted as part of people’s identity.

I’m very curious to know what you’re proposals are to make a change.
