If you care what "celebrities" think about politics then you might want to see a therapist.

psst. you ask a majority of people in this country the same question and you'll likely get the same reaction. Just saying.

If you ask regular blue collar people they would say he is doing an OK job but needs to shut his fucking mouth. Now, if you ask a celeb and their fans, then the world is about to end.

Also a majority of the country voted for him.It was never close.

Hmm, I didn't know 46% was a majority. And that is only of 56% the registered voters who voted at all.
So less than half of the more than half of the people who were registered to vote, voted for him. I think that is like 26% of registered voters.

Also, I forgot to mention that there was someone else who got 48% of the vote. Last time I checked, not only is 46% less than 50%, but it is less than 48%, too. :p

Under no circumstances is this true. In fact, the very mechanism that was supposed to prevent illiterate farmers from electing a moron 200 years ago backfired and put us in this situation.

Those same farmers who make over one hundred thousand dollars a year and have degrees?I guess that passes for illiterate now.

As far as the system goes, it worked perfectly. It prevents the coast from picking the president( Thank God) by popular mindless vote.

I'm sure half of the registered voters didn't vote, they wanted neither candidate, now look what they have. And don't act as no one voted for him if they hdan't he wouldn't be president right now.

Im not an American but from an outsiders view it semed no one had a complaint about the voting system before, but the very vocal left suddenly objected too it when it didn't go their way.

Also, how bad must Clinton have been to let Trump get anywhere near, let alone win, the Presidency?

PS Gillans a brit like me and fecking hot

I wasn't questioning your politics I was questioning your inaccurate math and word usage. You said a majority of the country voted for him. And that is not true. About 74% of registered voters voted for other candidates or voted for no one at all. And 54% of those who did vote, voted for other candidates. None of that equals a majority. He didn't even get the most votes of all the candidates. I think it is mathematically impossible to get a majority of the votes without also getting the most votes. If he got more than 50%, no one could have more than him because they would need to have more than more than 50% to do so, and that combined would be over 100%.

The winner of the popular vote has only lost the US presidential election (via the electoral college) 5 times. 3 in the 1800s, then 2000 and 2016, people complained in 200 for sure. But it is an oddity, only happening twice in the last 125 years, so not many chances to complain. :p

True. Most of the controversies he's been involved in have been largely self-inflicted. He's meant to be quite smart but you wouldn't know that from his twitter feed.

Oh there was a lot of complaining about it when Bush beat Gore. But no efforts to change it were made during the 8 years Obama was Pres either.

Yea Clinton was the wrong candidate for the wrong time. I kind of wonder if we would be in a similar stagnant phase of our gov't if Bernie Sanders had won, with his very left ideas being hard to find a majority of support to pass through the senate and house in the same way that Trumps ideas have mostly hit walls.
