If your show manages to stay on TV for a decade, that's quite an accomplishment. Have you had a successful show on TV that has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue?

 

You and I have very different ideas of what the measure of success is. Also, I'm not sure how in any way your query is relevant since I'm not in the television business. I will say that the sports management company I started has been successful for 17 years and has generated hundreds of millions of dollars for the company and our mlb clients. What pray tell have you done?

 

It's relevant in the fact that you seem to think celebrating a success that doesn't live up to your standards is somehow pathetic.

What have I done? Well, for the past 5 years I've been my father's 24/7 caregiver. He's 96 and no longer remembers most of what happened over his lifetime, or who his grandchildren are, or some of his kids, or that his wife of 73 years died a year ago. He asks me at least once a day where she is. I do it because the thought of him living out his remaining years in a facility devoid of love simply because it might be convenient to my own pursuits is not something I'm willing to consider. So my greatest success has come through sacrifice and devotion to family. And I wouldn't trade it for one red cent.

 

Now you are changing the subject which is also pathetic. You attacked my response like I'm not successful in what I do for a living and now you want to change it to altruism. Once again, you have no idea what I do for my family and those who I know and have never met. You are simply out of your depth. If you value people that make careers on whoring out their own progeny then that's your prerogative. Personally, I find it pathetic and disgusting no matter how much revenue it generates. You also, shouldn't act holier than though and a champion of women when you constantly make disgusting superficial comments here on a daily basis.

 

Well then, I invested wisely enough that I was able to retire when I was 48. Is that more to your liking?

People like you are a dime a dozen on this forum. You troll celebrities because you have nothing more constructive to say, or the where withal not to say anything. That's pathetic. Pop culture is an industry just like any other, and pro sports is a part of it. It's all entertainment, and only a very small percentage of the population get to enjoy the $$$ spoils. Whether they're excessively paid TV characters, basketball players or pop stars who couldn't write a song of their own if their career depended on it, it's all just show biz. The opiate of the masses.
