You can bitch all you want after 8/21 should you choose to do so. But for the love of god, wait to see what we get.

 

Agree 1,000%. We're already lucky to have everything we've gotten so far since the original Fappening. There could be a treasure trove tomorrow or it could be an elaborate troll. We won't know until we get there. Let's just enjoy what, if anything, we get and hope that the good stuff isn't all being hoarded by the traders.

 

It's human nature, though. Look at all the doomsday cults who kept getting people's expectations up about the world ending on a certain day, then they made up tales about why it wasn't that day, but it will happen on another date. Eventually, people stop listening if they're given the same old song and dance over and over.

As far as "not as famous as you'd like them to be", that plays into the same thing. You tell people that celebrities will be leaked, then people get their hopes up (they can't help it, it's natural) and then they perhaps rightfully get a little miffed when it turns out the "celebrity" is just someone you've not heard of but maybe 5 others have.

I mean, a lot of people didn't know that was Ed Sheeran in the newest season of Game of Thrones because they didn't know what he looked like. I'd genuinely never listened to a Taylor Swift song until last month, plus even as a kid, I never bothered with Nickelodeon outside of Doug, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Clarissa Explains It All and Kenan & Kel. I was more of a Cartoon Network guy, plus I've never seen anything on the Disney Channel so all of these current/former Nick/Disney chicks people are hoping for, I've genuinely never heard of them.

Meanwhile, I was excited for Catrina's leaks (which we got today, finally) because I've loved pro wrestling for 30 years and I watch Lucha Underground every week, compared to someone on here who'd never seen a wrestling show before and wouldn't know who she was. I'd never seen an Emma Stone film until The Amazing Spider-Man, yet I followed Eva Green's career since her debut in The Dreamers.

It's just a matter of everyone needing to respect one another, which means no complaining when you don't know who someone is and no complaining when someone politely asks who she is, just because YOU may have heard of whoever it is. That's not "you" as in yourself, it's a more general "you" meaning all of us here.

 

There's some current Disney/Nick chicks I'd like to see.

I hope that's not true, non nude leaked pics are worthless to me.

 

In the past people all watched the same tv channels or News so everyone agreed who or what a celebrity was.
These days no one watches MTV or E!News or any central show that acts as the arbiter of the culture. So left to our own devices we focus more on WWE than Hollywood or Youtube and IG rather than tv or cinema.

These days with streaming you dont need to bother with a tv set at all. Just watch what you want when you want to. The result is there are tons of people with no idea who the famous actors are or why they're such a big deal.

The fact is these women are famouse in a way. Yes, celebrities in a fashion. But they're not famouse actors or singers. However a lot of folks these days just don't care.

TLDR: We live in an age where there is no central cultural authority. We choose whom we believe are celebrities. The result is naturally chaos.
