DEBATE What are your thoughts on Celebrities Defending Islam?

Wrong, though some celebs are born "in the biz", most are genuine people just like you who have gotten their "hands dirty". Are some celebrities vapid? Perhaps, but more so than any other person? Ridiculous. I don't get the celeb bashing? Is it jealousy? Insecurity?

 

I could care less what a celebrity thinks. I don't look to Miley Cyrus for gardening tips but wouldn't mind asking Jessica Sympson for investment tips. Right after crush dat ass and drown in dem tits.

It's not a term, it's a self-identified group. Are you denying they exist? In any case, they were a mere footnote in my post. Why do you not addresss anything I say?

If one were to refer to my first post in this thread they would see I stated unequivocally, "Religion is a fucking joke, and I don't respect it." That being the case, why would I defend it? The answer is, I don't.

 

It's short for anti-facists. People like the poster in question and the author of that definition are so mixed up and twisted in their defense of the indefensible, that they're now Pro-Facism and consider it an insult to not be. A sad, dark path for one's life.

 

A lot of the posts here seem to be proving your point, and if you know your world history it's hard not to agree with it.

It has the word "celebrity" in the title, so I figured, hey, maybe it fits in here.

But truth be told, it doesn't matter what forum it is in, someone is bound to complain about it. Complainers like to complain. I could lock it, of course, give the complainers something to feel smug about. But on the other hand, the complainers could just stay the fuck out of the thread. Problem solved.

Just like groups with "Freedom" in their name are almost invariably anti-freedom, Antifa is precisely the opposite of what they claim to be. But keep drinking that Kool-Aid, I suppose.

 

But were those people religious? Being white doesn't automatically make you a christian. You are atheist yourself. Discussion is about religions.

Difference is that muslim terrorists kill in the name of God, that's what radical Islam teach them, while I've never heard of a christian killing in the name of Jesus, that would be rare.

If so many muslims go fanatic, than there must be something wrong with their religion. I can't think of a christian terrorist organization that's killing people all over the world in the name of Jesus.

Regular Islam doesn't teach them to kill, but Islam is very obsessive and they are one step from going radical or fanatic.

There are also many celebs who converted to Islam - Cassius Clay, Mike Tyson, Janet Jackson, Julia Volkova (tatu), Everlast, Busta Rhymes, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Lindsay Lohan... the list is long, Islam is so obsessive. While it's not common for muslims to covert to Christian.

 

And I agree with your assessment of religion. The point is, though they are all wrong some are more dangerous than others. I think Sam Harris hit the nail on the head when he said extremist Janism would never be a problem, since they would just be even more peaceful. Islam and Christianity are as stupid as each other to me, but one has a hippie as it's moral teacher and the other has a warlord...

 

What's wrong with provocation? That was the bedrock of University debate when universities were actually worth something. You talk about bigots but seem to be defending the ideology which explicitly promotes bigotry.
