DEBATE What are your thoughts on Celebrities Defending Islam?

I watched, I don't think it's really relevant to my comments though. I'm not saying there aren't mad muslims, just as I'm not saying there are not mad Jews or christians for that matter. What I am saying is why... why are there terrorists? why were they created? why do they hate the west so much? I gave my opinion. If we stop attacking them, they will stop attacking us.

 

The Taliban were definitely in cahoots with Bin Laden by giving him sanctuary in Afghanistan, a country the Taliban controlled. They thought they'd get away with it, I guess.

The simple fact of the matter is, white people have proven to be the most murderous, treacherous, and violent people in the history of humanity. Even to this day.

 

It has nothing to do with not attacking them, in exactly the same way we didn't attack them prior to the death of Muhammed and then they conquered two two-thirds of the Christian world as far north as Spain which led to the start of the Crusades. Not attacking them is just a crappy argument to put forward, sorry.

In my lifetime, and pre 9/11, there have been over 1800 deaths and 7500 wounded attributed to Islamic terrorists globally. None of which were because western countries were invading anywhere. Granted, a lot of those have been in Israel, but that's a whole different barrel of fish and i'm not going near that hand grenade!

But look around the World, AQ was attacking American targets multiple times globally a decade before 9/11, and Islamic Jihad a decade before that. Throw in attacks in places as far afield as China and Bangladesh on top of the huge wave of Islamic fundamentalism in France spanning over 40 years and there is zero link.

How many wars in Muslim countries has Nigeria waged? Boko Harem has murdered over 20,000 in less than eight years. You are over simplifying something complicated with a simplistic answer, and one born of western guilt more than anything.

It's not that these people hate the west, they hate us because we are not Muslim. They are executing the same religious expansionist philosophy that was used in the 600s. If you are Muslim and do not live by the same standards of their belief, then you too are a kufir. To them, all non believers must either conform or die. To them there is no 'moderate' Islam, there is only Islam. That which was preached when they plundered, and enslaved the Kufirs.

 

Lets agree to disagree then. Religion doesn't kill people, people kill people. (I do not believe in any god btw).

Sunnis and Shiites. They are bouth muslim... why are they killing each others? Islam is peace religion. or maybe not? there are suicide bomb attack evry week in pakistan. WHY? Why only psychopatic dictators ( ASad. Hussein, gadafi) makes peace in islam contries?

I'ver ignored your tiresome cultural relativism, but I had to take issue with this. Is it not the case that most religious people believe the main thing you are judged on is simply whether you believed in God or not? If not, then hell awaits. How lovely.

 

Skin colour has nothing to do with it. Ideas have consequences - particularly when that idea is seen to be righteous and is immune from criticism. That's why Islam is different to other religions which, for the most part, have been diluted by modernity. The Quran is seen as the 'perfect word of God'. It's unalterable. That's why it doesn't change and never will.

 

That's a pretty ridiculous thing to say. Ironically, it's only something said by white people with no idea of what the world looks like beyond their own, extremely white, borders. I'd rather be on a no-fly list in the US than gay in Northern Africa, or the wrong sect of Islam in certain places in Iraq. I'm pretty sure Donald Trump, for all his megolomania and idiocy, wouldn't do what Kim Jong-un does to his own people, or even his family members.

White people don't have the market cornered on violence or treachery, and saying otherwise is incredibly racist, since it implies any fundamental aspect of being is determined by race. It isn't. If we've bombed more people than any other race it's because we've been more technologically advanced than any other race. And that, my friend, is owed to geography and luck, not biology. Perhaps I should have said Europeans and their progeny who have been spread around the world. The Nazis murdered millions of people they deemed undesirable, and 30 million Russians in an attempt to take the USSR during WWII. It's estimated that another 30 million people were murdered by the Stalin regime afterwards, and he wasn't at war with any of them. He and Beria were just paranoid fucking psychos. The Spaniards wiped out several thriving societies in Central and South America. A goodly number of indigenous societies in North America vanished due to white settlement. Same thing happened in Australia. And Africa. And Asia. It's not racist, it's true. And it's not only governments doing these things or sanctioning such behavior. The vast majority of serial killers and mass murders in the USA have been white guys. When was the last time you heard of any non-white individual without a political bone to pick stroll into a school or theater and start shooting people at will? The Asian kid who flipped out at Georgia Tech is the only one I can think of in recent history.

Do white folks have the corner on murder and mayhem? No, of course not. But they sure fucking excel at it and have established the greatest benchmarks in history.

Chairman Mao was responsible for more deaths than Hitler and Stalin combined. Try learning some history. And Muslims aren't a race, so even if you were correct it would be a false equivolence.

The IRA were Catholic terrorists killing in the name of God.

 

That is simply not true. They were Republicans first and foremost. There were many protestants in the IRA and indeed the INLA. Some of Republicans most famous fighters were protestants.

 

I respect everyone's right to practice the religion of their choice, but I am truly sick and tired of hearing about what Christians did during the Crusades. I wasn't around for that, it was a different time, everyone killing in the name of their god. That is not happening today, except by people practicing Islam. Does that make all Muslims evil? Obviously not, I have friends and colleagues that are Muslim, good people regardless of their faith. I lost friends AND family on 9/11, and most did nothing wrong but wake up and go to work that day. A few gave their lives that day trying to save others. And that attack was in the name of Islam, as have been many others in the US and other countries, France, England, etc. That is not Islam, that is Fanaticism.
