DEBATE What are your thoughts on Celebrities Defending Islam?

Islam is all about the rights of minorities until it is in power itself.

 

Well, the most basic rule of islam (or any religion, for that matter) is: a muslim does not kill another muslim!
Do you know how much muslims they (ISIS, AL-Qaeda, Taliban) killed? sometimes they enter a village, full of muslims, and they kill *every* male, and rape females just for fun and their amusement. No sane muslim in the world consider these groups as an islamic group.

as for Sharia Law, most people support it because of its rules for Foods (for example, muslims dont eat pork), business/trade, or the right to have their own islamic practises. no one want to kill or rape anyone...

and Sharia Law is not really well defined. everyone has their opinion about it. for example, females can't drive cars in saudi arabia (US bestfriend), and goverment say this rule is based on Sharia Law. All other islamic countries laugh at this rule and mock saudi arabia for that! So there is no actuall set of rules that everyone accept that as Sharia Law.

Having a concept of "True muslim", is what a group like ISIS (and some dictators) is based on: bieng a "Takfiri" group. A takfiri is a Muslim who accuses another Muslim (or an adherent of another Abrahamic faith) of apostasy.
In islam its a sin to judge another muslim about his/her relationship with god (another reason why isis is not an islamic group, its very basic agenda is a sin!). No one can say that someone is not "muslim enough". so you cant say bella hadid is not a muslim because she pose nude. she pose nude, yes, but she also contribute to charities, so you cant judge her on behalf of god. thats why its a sin to a have concept of True muslim, simply because you cant judge on behalf of god. if you could, you weould be THE GOD!

As an agnostic, its all very confusing to me. its confusing because these subjects does not based on science and facts. so its very hard to reason about it. Quran ( or any other religious book) is sooooo OLD! and much like other religious books, it has a good and peaceful side, and it has a very weird and crazy side; which would be normal for the people of that particular time. But in todays society, with all the civilisation and scientific improvements, i think its not a good idea to live our life based on these old books.

Shocking and brand new information, I know

The truth is that each of us has their own prejudices and preconceptions that they are trying to shove in the face of everyone else and if they don't like it then they are automatically part of the uneducated masses.. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions including Celebrities (they are just fortunate enough to have an avenue to voice that opinion to Millions of people around the world).
Another important fact to mention is that all Celebrities don't share a single point of view (regarding Islam or any other topic).. this is extreme generalization.

Finally, if you believe in God's Judgement, then you should know that each of us will be judged based on our own actions and nothing more.. If however you don't believe in God or his judgement then you have nothing to worry about; just enjoy life and don't worry about what Celebrities have to say about this topic or that
