Oh I get the picture and would love to see government be about governing and not money, greed, power, and influence peddling. Unfortunately we ended up with two bad choices to avoid all that, and Donnie isn't a competent leader in any respect so..... Their vote third party recommendation was cute...

 

And why do you have 2 bad choices? Because the system is corrupt and Hillary was able to rig the primaries. You are never going to get a good candidate under this system, ever. Not everything falls down to Trump, all Dems have been doing for the last 6 months is fear mongering, "fear Trump", "fear Russia","fear fear fear". Isn't that what the GOP party used to be about?

 

I really enjoyed that video because it makes one think of the bigger picture. The question falls down to: How much of a disaster will Drumpf be as President compared to the Right-wing policies that Shillary will commence and the negative aftermath of those policies far into the future? Jimmy Dore has been waffling on this topic for months now. He still believes that Drumpf will not be as disastrous as others make him out to be due to the fact that he won't get much done with a split Congress (it's highly likely that Democrats will take the Senate and there is a chance that they could remove overwhelming lead of Republicans in the House). And, just the fact that having Drumpf's disastrous presidency for four years will mean that a true progressive will come along and win in a landslide in 2020. He also believes that Shillary's presidency will net more Republican power in the future due to how much people would despise her as a President. On the other hand, he has been to the Drumpf rallies. He knows what the fanatical Drumpf supporters are like and has stated that it concerned him. So, that's why he had been waffling on the stance of Shillary vs. 3rd Party.

I believe that he is right on this topic. However, I personally believe that it is better to have someone in there that we can fight rather than someone who would stop us from being able to fight in the first place (Label us as Terrorists and automatically takes away our 1st Amendment right to Freedom of Speech). That is why, if I was in a swing state, I'd vote Shillary. But, I'm in a red state, so I haven't overall decided if I will vote Shillary or Stein.

 

Well, Shillary is very much a Republican in Democrat's clothing. She is very authoritarian, but in a different way than Drumpf's authoritarianism.

Oh, I agree. I think the primary system is crap and is rigged to favor the annointed one. Super delegates...total BS. Both sides need to have the same rules with popular votes, open primaries, one week cut offs before the primary, no such things as super delegates. Then there is the good old SC and Citizens United. Campaign donations and spending should be severely capped. Do I know Sanders got screwed, sure. I don't like it, but even without Trump, right politics doesn't leave me much choice. In 2000 I would have voted McCain when he had some integrity, but Bush, Cheney and Rowe screwed him over and thats when I started paying attention. The last 8 years has cemented my leanings, but if a truly viable progressive or independent centrist candidate came out I'd be voting for them and not the two crap party system it's become.

 

It's real authoritarianism. Trump is a cartoon villain.

Funny how people are calling Hillary "very much Republican" and saying she will implement "right wing policies". Hillary will institute far left wing authoritarian policies. First more socialism, free healthcare and the like, followed by more and more government control leading toward communism/fascism (the lefts ultimate goal)

 

The way I look at it, this election is already lost. The only thing we can do is plan for 2020.

Trump is dangerous, there is no denying that, but I think he will be more of a temporary disaster as President. He has already done a lot of the damage he could do by stirring up racial tensions and motivating the far-right. Whether he wins or looses that isn't going away, it's already done.

Hillary however, won't be as bad on the surface but she will set in motion things that could affect us for decades to come. Like the TPP, or a war in Syria, or another market crash.

every mofo from county dogcatcher to US senator wants to hold onto their seat so they pander and push for the candidate above them

it is a complete corrupt system and we live with it when we should dismantle it piece by piece

So with Comey's again impeccable timing we know what most of tomorrow's news cycle will be, with any WikiLeaks getting their usual 5% coverage. The next day is of course election day so we should have plenty of voter suppression and intimidation claims flying back and forth, then the results. If it's close that will be one mess, but if it's not..... Any predictions for the 9th?

 

Hm, I don't actually know. None of them seem to be a perfect fit. I was leaning towards Stewie Griffin but Stewie is intelligent and eloquent, which Trump is not.

Also, Stewie is kinda gay.

If Hillary wins Trump supports will riot...with guns.

If there is no clear majority, everybody with riot.

 

I think there will be another bombshell on Monday. Wikileaks still have to release the stuff the said they had on Kaine, it may be that. Or maybe a Trump sex tape. Who knows.

 

If they really ever had anything that was truly damaging I would think that they would have released it well before now for maximum effect. Democrats tend to vote early, so I think the Weiner laptop was about as good as it is going to get.

I have seen some chatter, more like prayers, that Giuliani's boys in the NYPD and FBI NY Office will save the day....
