The cynical skeptic in me thinks they pulled their bikini bottoms down just far enough to make for a highly provocative image when properly cropped. I'd like to believe they were hanging their inviting little twats out for whoever took the pic, but I doubt that's the case. Women are evil like that.

Fwiw: That's not it. I know you aren't entirely serious, but I think there is something twisted to it.

After the shooter attacking the gay nightclub in Orlando, a couple of celebs posted something on IG in honor of the victims. I for one read some of the comments on Sophie Turner's post about it and there were SO MANY comments with vitriol about how the victims deserved it because they were gay and how they would like to do some thing to Sophie. Obviously, many of the commenters had names spelled with Arabic letters but others were a variation of the "random Joe".
So I'm sure whatever sexual (or empathetic, nice, naive, whatever) thing you post as a celebrity, you sometimes get the anti-crowd, made out of people who just feel like to troll right now.

 

I'm entirely serious.

 

I 2nd everything you said. Especially the women being evil.

 

They're celebrities, they would not risk a fappening type of image being accidentally released. But oh, I would pay for that one (within reason).

That sounds like a caricature-like description. There's no way you can twist it so liberals are the ones that have a problem with women getting naked. Thats Conservativism 101.

No twisting needed. It is indeed SJWs and (some) liberals who have a problem with the portrayal of sexy women.

Just recently, there was an outcry about the sexualisation of Margot Robbie because she was "forced" to wear skimpy shorts as Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad film. It definitely wasn't conservatives who were doing this. Just search tumblr for examples, which is the domain of SJWs, not conservatives.

Sticking to comic book related controversies, there has been a movement at Marvel and DC over the past few years to cover up their female characters and put them in less sexy costumes. Marvel's Ms. Marvel character went from wearing a black swimsuit type costume to a full body suit that covers everything. This was spearheaded by the very liberal feminist writer of the comic. Conservatism had nothing to do with it.

In the video game industry, Lara Croft went from double D's to a B cup. This was done to largely appease SJWs. Conservatism had nothing to do with it. More recently, the makers of the Overwatch game had to change the way a female character in tight pants was portrayed, because SJWs complained that she was showing off her butt.

I'm using the comic book and video game examples because these industries are popular with millennials and have been specifically targeted by SJWs. But there are plenty of real world examples. Google "shirtgate". Search for instances of advertisements of women in bikinis being taken down due to the portrayal of "harmful and unrealistic body images".

SJWs and (some) feminists and liberals are extremely outspoken against the perceived sexualisation of women and the portrayal of "unrealistic body images".

But no matter what they call it, it involves covering women up.

 

Anyone who brings politics into the phun forums is an asshole. Plain and simple. It means you don't realize there's a time and place for everything. Let's keep this a place where's there's no "liberal" or "conservative". There's a billion other websites for "serious political discussions" (finger pointing). Go there. Let this be a place where we go to escape that nonsense. Jesus, what a bunch of douchers!

 

Yes those are all examples that involve mostly fictional characters being put into situations or outfits by male designers for the purposes of oversexualizing them. SJW's have a problem with the objectification of the female characters, not necessarily the nudity.

On the other hand, when actual grown women make the autonomous decision themselves to wear something revealing or get naked, that's when conservative men and women get on their puritanical soapboxes to slutshame and extole the virtues of modesty. [We even see this occassionally here on Phun - very odd]. This is the situation we're dealing with in the OP, which is why I found it odd that the claim was made that SJW's were criticizing the photo. Highly unlikely.
