That's a joke, right? She is a "barrister" -- that is a lawyer who specializes in arguing cases before a high court. A "barista" is someone who works at a coffee shop...

 

I think Britney's meltdown was genuine and not an act to get out of a contract. And again, if the allegations are fake, the repercussions for Kesha would be worse than the contract.

 

Sadly, the average barista is more knowledgeable about the world than the confused fools that write for that nonsensical excuse for a website.

 

This is why there is the law, legal recourse, depositions, investigations, traceable history of events, penalties for perjury, and several layers of court for a case to be tried, from municipal, appellate, state supreme and USA supreme.

When two big entities go at it, it is always the scorched earth offense where the plaintiff brings up everything under the sun. Record contracts are notoriously difficult to break, precisely because an unknown entity [performer] is backed by a known entity [record company] and nobody is certain how the relationship will evolve. Basically it's proceed with your balls in a vice. People decide to enter contracts nonetheless. To be a performer you need to be able to do things normal people would not do.

My personal feeling is that the performer here, took some very bad legal advice. SONY might just dump her and bill her for the $19M plus interest. That amount is not going away, and I would be surprised if she had that kind of earning potential anymore.

I have just 1 question. If her producer was found innocent of rape, why hasn't Keisha been arrested for filing false accusations? She tried to ruin the man, and the rape charges will always haunt him. Any woman can claim rape against any man, and he will be guilty until proven innocent. Hollywood women coddling her with support without knowing the facts is shameful, but in American colleges we have feminists telling girls that if you feel guilty after having sex, that is also rape. Sound crazy? Look it up.
