This particular picture of her has always fascinated me - not so much so cute or adorable ( adjectives normally applied to reference her ) but I'd say she looked Hot here and eminently do-able. And judging from her look/and pose she seems to know what she's projecting.
Make this comment because this photograph originally featured in GQ magazine for May 2013 - and this was 5 years after the "upskirt" shots allegedly so outraging her ! that initiated this discussion. Like all of us she will be full of contradictions and uncertainties. Of course she is and likewise of course me and thousands of others want to see her naked. Period.

She did this photoshoot "in character" as Nicki Moore, her character in The Bling Ring. So the reason she looks slutty and over-made-up and like a hooker is because that would be the shallow character's idea of cheap, gimcrack "sexiness."

And if Natalie Portman's first three movies had been the SW prequels (like Watson's first eight with HP) , everyone would say she couldn't act for shit either. She was shit in all of them, yet she got an Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination for best supporting actress in the same year she did Sith. Few people give good performances when reacting to something that will be a creation of CGI at a later date. Good job Watson never worked with George Lucas who hates actors, one take is good enough for him if there are no special effects in the shot.

Playing the same character for a decade also didn't do her any favours as it inhibits the ability to learn and be believable in anything else, it's why a lot of young talent struggle for roles after. They do however make for a good bank balance and the work is guaranteed. She can try and shake off Hermione Granger as hard as she wants with a haircut and taking roles in indie movies, but it will still effectively be Hermione Granger in an indie movie because that is all she can play. But at least she tried to get rid of the association with that character. Most other young actors ride that shit into the sun for their entire short lived career.

Is she a bad actress? no, just very average. There are far worse and nobody says shit. Keira Knightly has for the best part been wooden as fuck her entire career but doesn't get the same level of hate. Will she improve? If she actually works on her craft rather than being a pretentious 20 something SJW, who recently graduated from an Ivy League school after living in a celebrity bubble for a decade, then yes, maybe. I'm not 'gonna hold my breath though.

For the record Evanna Lynch was far worse than Watson in the HP series. I actually wondered if she was concussed or reading from a very slow autocue in every scene she was in.
