You must lead a sad, boring, lonesome life, when you're so hard up for human interaction you mix up in discussion threads about actresses you don't care about.

I don't understand the aggressive feminist stance. The USA will have a female president this year, whether we like it or not. Every female I know is successful, except for a few homeless females [3] among the 150 homeless in my town. Women are more likely to get hired rather than a male in any work situation. My mother was successful at a law firm for 20 years. I have one sister who is a VP of a 5,000 employee company, another who is a PhD shrink, and another who is an actress. They all paid their way through school. My immediate boss is a female and her boss is a female.

If you are talking treatment of women is third world countries, I think there should be more feminists. They would not survive for 48 hours after speaking about feminism, but if they want a soapbox there you go. They could start in Syria & Nigeria, home of ISIS and Boko Haram. Or they could go to Mexico where a female journalist was taken this week from her home and her new born baby, stripped naked and shot in the head and left by the side of the road by the narcos.

As far as all the 'equal' talk, women in the USA and UK have it pretty good. The women of Hollywood, London, NYC, Paris & Milan laugh when somebody says feminist. It's like 7th Day Adventists knocking on rich people's doors, they are barking up the wrong tree.

It's a political move started by Clinton in or order to divide and separate the electorate, because as Saul Alinsky said, "You Never Let A Serious Crisis Go To Waste,” either real or perceived, create one if one does not exist. As an Alinsky acolyte Obama has been doing it for 8 years, and let us not forget, this feminism bit started full blown under his watch. I mean he IS the president during this feminist turmoil, is he not? Rahm Emanuel used Alinsky tactics in the White House and is using them now in Chicago.

Anyway this should be in another forum, not celebrity extra, in my opinion.

If you read my comment and heard anger, frustration, and vitriol then that’s just the sound of your voice, or Lewis Black. Instead, try reading it again in the cold, slightly irritated having to explain facts to adults again, tone of Daria Morgendorffer.

I’m well aware the things I responded to have been settled. There are no more rights for women to fight for (In either of the countries she calls home). They won and now have superior rights in several ways compared to men. That was kind of my point. Ms. Watson lives in a world in which she has always had superior rights to her male peers yet still acts as the face for a program called He for She. Once more men are asked to absorb violence on behalf of women. This is how you know that feminism was never a synonym for equality.

I am not arguing that women are not annoyed on the street with rude comments ranging from “Hey beautiful, smile.” “God bless you, have a nice day.” or the worst “Damn, girl!”. That stuff must be annoying. But its not harmful, and further it is everyone’s right, for now, to speak in public settings.
If I could choose between being annoyed at the worship of my sexuality vs. the violence that weak male targets face by walking alone on the streets, I know which one I would pick.

The thing is, I have the listening/comprehension skills to get past the part of her UN speech where she recites the dictionary definition of feminism. You see, once you get past the three minute mark she goes on to pretend that pay equality, reproductive rights, body autonomy, and political representation are all rights that women still lack. These of course are all examples of things men lack but, whatever. She then goes on to list all the ways she thinks male behavior is awful and declares men should act more like women. Later she says she hopes future men, if they follow feminism, can be vulnerable and human too. Today’s men obviously aren’t human because they aren’t vulnerable enough. She ends, like most feminists, with a token mention of actually oppressed women and girls in the third world who will totally be helped by feminism in the first world, somehow.

Feminism is not just a word with a simple definition. It is a movement, equal parts faith( Patriarchy Theory, Rape Culture, Listen and Believe ) and politics ( Lobbying the government to criminalize free speech in public or turn the internet into a safe space).
I support women’s rights when appropriate. That advocacy is not called feminism it's human rights. But what would I know? I'm just a creep.

I keep coming to this thread in the hopes that Emma will join the 'Free The Nipple' campaign. You know for equal rights to go topless and all. ;)

As opposed to you incessantly sticking up for some person who will never even give you piss if you were dying of dehydration? He sees a thread that is several pages thick and opens it because it must be interesting. You routinely pop up in this girl's threads and try to sell people on her shit not stinking. I'm leaning towards the fact that it is you, and not him, that leads a sad, boring, lonesome life. You are too predictable, Scotty.

i can't believe this thread is still running; and getting harsher by the post. it seems that the original thread idea was forgotten at least a page back by now..?

not that the original thread was worth much of a post to begin with. who cares that emma's taking a year out to look herself over; so long as she comes back and shows off a little more at some point in the future...?

"She then goes on to list all the ways she thinks male behavior is awful and declares men should act more like women. Later she says she hopes future men, if they follow feminism, can be vulnerable and human too."

In all honesty women seeking broken men they can fix has gone on for 100 years. Women want a man they can fix, it's no secret. When was the last time you dated a female who didn't want to fix you, yet expected you to take them as they are. It's inherent in their DNA. I know guys, including myself, who have faked flaws to get to a woman. If they did not want to fix me, I would not fake it to be fixed.

They have the power, the ball is always in their court.

"Social, political, and economic equality of the genders."

Well good. Good for her. Show me where Emma Watson argues that women in their 20s should be making less money, because they currently make more than men.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/wo...eir-20s-until-the-pay-gap-hits-at-age-30.html

Show me where Emma Watson argues that women should be imprisoned longer, because they currently serve on average less than half the length of time a man will charged for the same offense.

    https://www.law.umich.edu/newsandinfo/features/Pages/starr_gender_disparities.aspx

The reason people dislike third wave feminism is that it is not about equality. It is about women coming first. Period.

    http://news.nationalpost.com/full-c...u-prof-really-do-the-men-have-to-speak-at-all

Feminists still cite the wage gap, despite it being widely disproven as a result of result of the different choices that men and women make,

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/harvard-prof.-takes-down-gender-wage-gap-myth/article/2580405

Modern feminism isn't about equality. It is about She at the expense of He. It is special privilege for women. They want to make the same amount of money for less work. They want to have the only seat at the table. They seek to forward their sexist and indecent agenda with imagined microaggressions and invented slights and lies and misinformation and to dominate their conversation by accusing any contrary opinions of being misogynistic, or sexist, or as you put it, creepy.

If you do not want to look at the facts, or do not want to believe the truth, that is fine. But you are a rube.

I think it is time you started chasing females in a different age bracket. My experiences tell me that a woman who has already waded through the bullshit is far more likely to accept you as you are, flaws and all because she realizes she is flawed too. Maybe I know this and you do not because I have never "faked" anything. If you lie and deceive, that is what you get back.

The thing that really sits badly with me about the feminist idea that men need to be like women is this: Women do not want weak Men. As an example if a burglar breaks into your house, is the average woman going to go investigate while you call the police?

No, women want a strong man they can depend on. I'm not saying women are weak, far from it. But there are expectation of each gender that aren't going to change no matter how much hashtagging you do. Don't believe me? What is your reaction if your Buddy came over tomorrow to watch the game and started complaining how hard it was to be a stay at home Dad/HouseHusband?

The thing that should sit badly with you about men needing to be like women is not what you said (I have known in the past and in the present women who can handle shit), but rather that it goes against nature. We are men for a reason. If we were supposed to be like women, we would be women. We have differences. Nobody can deny that. As far as this feminist thing goes? I get the feeling that it is only about respect. We should treat everybody with respect, right? Wrong. I was raised being taught that respect is earned and not assumed. I treat everybody equally in that way and everybody has the same opportunity to earn my respect and also lose it as well.

What should really sit badly with both of you is that you think anybody's saying men should be like women, because, no, they're not.
