Emma Watson Taking a Year Off From Acting to Focus on Feminism!!

Talk about being stupid. As if her hollywood career wasn't already failing enough!

 

Just happens to be 25 years old, worth 50-60 million, has a BA degree from an Ivy league school, a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, and is set for the rest of her life because of some movies she made as a teenager/young adult.

She can pretty much do anything she wants for the rest of her life..

some people act all the time, some try to do something else in life... pretty stupid, isn't?

 

She should take a year off of feminism to focus on acting.

 

At least she knows how to make a name for herself without doing anything....

 

I saw "Emma Watson taking off..." at first and got really excited. Damn.

 

Apparently "feminism" is the new "liberal" abjectism among small minded people who are committed to the notion that being white and conservative (and henceforth rather fucking ignorant) is the new height of fucktard sophistication in the latest iteration of "white-guys-know-what's-best-for-the-world" socio-political domination.

If you folks think that a woman (of any means) standing up for women's right is somehow a bad thing, then you are either a retard or a misogynist.

 

1.Only reason people listen to her feminist talks is because she is famous.
2.She is famous because of her acting.
3.If she does not act in big movies no more she will not be famous anymore.
4.Nobody will listen to her when she is not famous.There are thousands of feminists who are swept under the rug as feminazis.She will become one of those crazy ones.

Starring in of the biggest franchises as a teenager has guaranteed that she'll stay famous for the rest of her life.

How many big Carrie Fisher movies can you name after Star Wars? And she'll always stay famous because of those 3 movies.

Most people develop strong political or social passions during and after college (18-28). Then the real world takes over and pretty much sucks your optimism dry with M-F work grind.


Guess I can't really fault her. So many actors at the age are all about instagram, high school level twitter wars, and other narcissistic endeavors. At least she's trying to do something positive instead of just being pretty and stumbling out of the newest LA hot spot every weekend like so many other hollywood millennials.

She seems to have a good head on her shoulders and we know the odds are stacked against hollywood child actors. If I had her popularity and such a huge fanbase that hangs off every one of my words or action, you better believe I would be involved in social/political stands I value knowing my opinions will reach a lot of ears.

 

Or maybe she's just trying to make a simple point: Women deserve to be heard and respected.

If you respect your mom, you will respect that position.

 

She's probably serious, but this would be a hilarious way of trolling her haters....

 

Feminists rock for the most part. I'm not sure what type of feminist she is but as long as she's bringing a voice to her sisterhood and not one of those "all men are evil and women are better" types then good for her and more power to her.
We can all agree that women have gotten the short end for quite long enough and if she can help balance those scales then go for it Emma.
But if she's one of those other types of feminists you hear about who just hate men, which I don't think she is, but if she is, then seeing her leave the limelight is a good thing.
Because women can be just as awful as men. We are all flawed creatures. Some people on both sides of the gender line can forget that. Those people, misogynists, the "feminazi", anyone who sees their kind as superior to another kind is just perpetuating the problem and can simply fuck off.

I'm not saying it does objectify women, but that argument could be made.
We are just honest about our appreciation of a woman's physicality and in my book, that's not a bad thing. So long as we remember that they are people too.

especially as a lot of feminists i've seen over the years are still willing to drop their clothing just to show the world they don't care, and that its their right to do so without need to explain to us men.....

 

You guys can argue about her merits or future as an actress all day long, about her personal agenda or life choices or whatever. I don't care about any of that, she can do or say whatever she wants as far as I'm concerned. To me the only thing that matters is if she'll get naked or not. :2cent:
