Yeah, it's hot but part of me just laughs at these type of instagram pics that every celebrity does.

It's not about what they're doing, seeing, etc...it's simply, "What activity can I talk about and somehow make my cleavage the focal point of the shot?"

I just think of all of my normal friends that post pics after long bike rides, swims, half-marathons, triathlons, gym, etc.. and it's always just a normal photo....like if they came back from a long bike ride, they're sitting under a tree with a towel over their head. Even a triathlon which involves small clothing since you're swimming, it's just an upper body shot that focus on them and most often wearing the t-shirt they got for competing. Many of these are very attractive women with killer bodies.

But her, Mykala Maronney, etc.. it's like every "OMG, hard swim" "OMG, hard day at the gym" "OMG hard run." is like their boobs/cleavage taking up 75% of the screen. I just find it absolutely hilarious....like just make every instagram/snapshat pic of only your boobs/cleavage/showing your ass in lycra and be done with it. Stop trying to justify these poses with some talk of a prior activity (as if anyone gives a shit).

No need to enter some cheesy line like your prior activity has absolutely ANYTHING to do with this photo. Just type "Boobs" and be done with it.

All your "normal friends" post those pics for attention/likes/whatever the same way the celebrities do. The celebs are just better at it because they give the people what they want.

Instagram is all about narcissism and self-indulgence, plain and simple. But I believe you missed his point. People who aren't famous post in order to update their small circle of friends who are likely interested in their activities, while famous people post strictly out of a sense self-promotion. Same thing on Facebook. I'm always shocked on those rare occasions when I see a celeb respond to an anonymous reply on their latest update. That's generally not how "normal friends" operate.


And oh yeah, man, Bella sure does look young without makeup.

 

I've always just wondered what exactly goes on in this chicks head every time she posts yet another pic where dem tits are obviously the focal point. Is it "Oh here's a great chance to show my tits!" "Oh now I can show my tits" "Oh I just went on a run- now I should show my tits!" I'm just curious. I'm glad they do it tho- cause guess what? I love dem tittayyyys

Nah, there's no distinction to draw. If anything, more people are likely to be actually interested in the mundane activities of the rich and famous than those of random cousins and old high school friends. No one's interested in your sweaty gym selfie or lunch plate photo. Its just narcissism/self-promotion all the same.

EDIT: I work in real estate and type very quickly...this topic is more funny than anything and it's something my friends get a kick out of when we see certain actress IG feeds.

You totally missed my point.

My normal friend are posting these pics about themselves involved in some type of event. The focal point is them accomplishing something. When my friends complete an triathalon and they're all sweaty/gross (and usually wearing the free t-shirt they're given), the focus is on their accomplishment of completing the event. Not a simple "Look at my physical attributes!" The only time I see a leg shot from a female is usually from a nasty crash during a run or bike....and it's of the actual crash wound (which are usually nasty), not her spandex butt taking up 3/4 of the shot with some tiny little scratch.

BAsically my friends use Instragram to inform others in pictures of EVENTS in their lives that they're participating in. Girls like Bella and Makayla (the Olympic girl) are hilarious in the sense they use events as an EXCUSE to show off their cleavage/ass. IF my friends go to a wedding, they might take some casual Instagram pics of their dress from a normal distance often with their friends in the picture (like a group shot). If any of these girls go to a wedding, you won't see any wedding shots....the _________ (<-insert meaningless event/activity here) is just used as an excuse to show off up close pics of their cleavage or ass in every shot.

Not all celebrities do this but a few are just over-the-top. Most famous models aren't even close to this bad.

This Thorne girl is one of the worst examples. "OMG, such a fun ski trip" *shows absolutely no ski gear, no mountain, no snow, but her in a tiny bathing suit getting into a hot tub after* ahaha
