Cool thread actually. I think she's honestly disgusting to look at- I have zero attraction for her. Even after seeing her naked she doesn't compare to half the girls I've been with, so other than for her fame I would never go out of my way to talk to her if I saw her out in public. Her music sucks donkey balls, and her whole "I can do what I want" and "can't stop won't stop" bullshit attitude is so old and regurgitated it's beyond ridiculous. But, just like a car crash on the highway- I can't help but look anyway. So in a way, the broad still wins. Life's not fair. I'm gonna go pet my cat now...

I will never find it anything but amusing; if a little confusing; why so many haters enter threads just to slag off the person within.

What kind of a world do we now live in that this is considered not only acceptable, but normal...?

Miley will always generate news no matter what she does; I personally like some of her music, think she's got a decent body; I like slim with small boobs; but would rather she had less tattoos and a perchance for pulling strange faces; tongue out, tongue through her fingers, etcetera. I've gotten excited on finding new flashes of skin here and there, and will continue to look for, and enjoy the future ones just as much. Will she spread her pussy in pictures or on stage? Will she go further? Who knows?? And who the feck cares...?

I'll just sit here and keep my eyes open for whatever appears, and enjoy it...! Some is worthy of a quick 'shuffle' and others just a little flutter of the heart, but no matter.... Long live freedom of speech, and freedom to strip off if you want to do it, and let everyone else see you too.....

 

Let me tell you why I do it:

Because it has nothing to do with the individual within, but what that individual represents. Now, why don't I treat any of the dozens of other pop figures in this manner? Several potential reasons. First, I might find that other woman attractive and therefore I am willing to overlook the social and cultural implications of her behavior. Whereas the combination of Cyrus's repugnant appearance and the extremity of her behavior compels me to criticize the figurative "her" in a manner that I wouldn't be willing to criticize, let's say, Rihanna. A much more likely reason is because I haven't heard of anyone else this disturbing.

What kind of a world indeed. It's miraculous that we've managed to survive this long on this planet while we permit hordes of antagonistic perverts to ridicule and demean our pop stars. What a horrible catastrophe.

That's very debatable. But then I don't read tabloid news. I imagine a picture of her soiled panties would generate quite the sensation in the arena you define as "news."

I personally don't think she is a musician.

It's really that pancake face coupled with the skeletal body which turns me off. If she was two legs and an ass, I think I could agree with you. But I don't think I could retain my sanity if I happened to stumble across that gaping void she struggles to keep hidden between her legs.

Or are just so jealous that someone you consider talentless could earn so much money and fame while you live in a pool of your own tears; muddied by years of self-pity and inadequacy....! She is a singer and co-writes some of her songs, that makes her a musician no matter what you think. The fact she can hold a note rather better than most her peers and clones also counts. I can only assume you're basing all your views on Miley on a few random clips where the focus is on her antics rather than her voice; so do us all a favour and go check out some of her 'backyard sessions' or 'happy hippy' work on YT, and then come back and still say she cannot sing or perform when acting more normal.........??!!

 

Disney has messed up a lot of kid's lives.
Miley was the biggest and most over marketed of them all.
I think a lot of this is rebellion against Disney, her parents, and the world for screwing up her childhood. She was huge as Hanna Montana, and she wants to erase that part of her life.
There is also a lot of validity to being the only way to sell her shitty music. If she had to stay relevant based only on her music, she would no longer even have a record deal.

Yes, she sings and...she writes? Well, Christ, according to that definition I imagine we have more musicians in this country than we have elementary school children.

I'll admit that this is a very irrational and unreasonable stance that I've taken considering that the only thing I know about her is how she looks and a little about what it is that she does career-wise, but I think we can all afford to forsake reason every once in a while in our lives when our convictions and principles conflict with the proper course of knowledge. For instance: I wouldn't have to read Mein Kampf to know that I'm not a Nazi; or the Bible to know that I'm not a Christian, etc. etc.

Nor would I have to spend a single millisecond of my life enduring the torture of her voice to know that I would soon thereafter feel the sudden urge to tear off my ears and swallow them.

Well, I have no control over how my words make you feel. I certainly hope I'm not pissing anyone off. I just don't appreciate the current state of culture in the world. And this just happens to be in direct contradiction with my biological urge to masturbate. In other words, if I didn't find some of these women attractive, I'd be able to say that I loathe them all equally, but I can't, therefore she must take the brunt my criticism.

 

Walls and walls of text - by many people that apparently can't stand Miley and are so sick of her they have to take time out of their day to follow what she's up to and type out lengthy posts detailing exactly why they don't like what she does.

This is proof in itself that she markets herself brilliantly. And as long as it involves plenty of T&A being displayed, I'm all for it. Go Miley.

I also chuckle when I read posters being so judgmental of a person who, when she's not getting naked on stage, spends much of her time and attention volunteering toward causes like helping the homeless and fighting for humane treatment of animals. And this is the person being singled out as somehow bad for society, go figure.

Can't say I've ever seen the attraction- find her incredibly unappealing (she hasn't even got a good body on her) but you know fair play if people like her. We all have different tastes here.
